Yes, it seemed, as we’re looking at leaks from many sources like Vodafone Netherlands, T-Mobile UK, and Orange. This seemed to be a pretty wide-scale global launch of the refreshed QWERTY smartphone from RIM. Well, there’s no harm to sticking to a design that’s already great right? The Bold 9780 is essentially a polished Bold 9700 with better 5-Megapixel camera, and a beefed up 512MB RAM to handle the preloaded new BlackBerry 6 OS. When’s it coming? Well Vodafone Netherlands says that it’s going to be available sometime in November. So if you loved your current Bold 9700, perhaps you’d be interested in this improved version, since I see it pretty hard to have RIM update your Bold 9700 with the BlackBerry 6. You’ll have a hard time finding enough free space after that update anyway.

Yes, this baby shell is late, but still it’s great to know that it’s finally coming for real. The Asus 1015PN EeePC netbook is now officially the latest member of the clamshell Eee PC family. The 1015PN is the typical 10.1-inch netbook from Asus, with 1024 x 600 LCD reso, but is powered by a dual-core Atom N550 processor. Other hardware specs are pretty darn typical, as we have a 1GB memory, and 250GB of storage (no SSD here).

And that’s not a good thing, if you’re wondering what that means. They’ve came a long way up the ladder system too, beating some big names in the UK. The UK is a very crowded place, despite being rather small if you compare to some other developed cities. And a crowded place would eventually mean lots of cars zipping around. Developed cities look great and the people seemed to have good ethnics. But the same can’t be said for drivers. Not everyone is pleasant drivers, and some turned into a monster when they got hold of a steering wheel, and that includes girls. Gocompare.com decided to poll 3,000 motorists to see, by vehicle make, which drivers are the meanest of the bunch. Read more…

Woot, what do we have here? Accidental addition or intentional planting of a seed of doubt to innocent lambs? The Fermi-based GF100 cards might be out not just long ago, but there’s no harm for Nvidia to refresh their DirectX 11 lineup, if they were serious on fighting AMD this time. NVIDIA briefly listed a card called the GTX 580 on its System Requirements page and, and it was quickly pulled after news of its presence started making the rounds.

I guess the ‘tick tock’ culture exist in software companies too. Remember Vista? It’s revolutionary (almost), but much hyped out and performs terribly, and Windows 7 is what it’s supposed to be at launch. Well, Windows 7 has only been around for a year, and the Redmond’s big boss Steve Ballmer has already started talking about the next big thing. Read more…

The computer specialist from Hong Kong is back to add another model for their ever expanding Zbox HTPC lineup. The new one and ‘slightly improved’ is called Zbox HD-ID40. Blu-ray is missing this round, but you get a new 1.8GHz dual-core D525 processor, along with some 2GB memory and 250GB storage space (or an optional SSD). Obviously the Full HD movies will be processed by the popular Nvidia Ion graphics. Read more…

The Internet mammoth is up at it again. Google is going to use Stanford’s campus to trial their fiber optic Internet service before going for the mass public. This is a follow up to the earlier news that Google is planning to rollout 1Gbps fiber connection to between 50,000 and 500,000 homes in a given community. Looks like they’ve finalized their hardware and is ready to give it a try. Lucky Stanford students. Read more…
