Alright, this seemed like big breaking news to everyone. Google’s Nexus One has been killed off ever since lots of Droid phones getting into the market, but now here comes the successor to the Nexus One. Perhaps Google wanted to show Apple how it’s done after the iPhone 4 is out, so they went to have a chat with Samsung about it. And boy oh boy this phone is a killer! Here comes the Nexus S by Samsung.

This will be a very massive phone compared to the Nexus One. It’s a 4.3-inch Super-AMOLED display dubbed the “sAMOLED2”. It’s going to enjoy the Android Gingerbread (2.3) with an 8-Megapixel camera capable of 1080p video capturing and playback, 14.4Mbps HSPA, Bluetooth 3.0, a 1.2GHz core of some sort, and 16GB of storage onboard. Unbelievable right? Yes, at first I thought the photos are shopped, but then again Best Buy had a tease on everyone by putting up a small banner showing that the Nexus S will come in the holiday season. Sadly, as usual the thing has been pulled down almost instantly. The specs might be slightly boasted, but the phone is a real deal, since Engadget has the real phone hands-on already.
