Altec Lansing has once again ventured into this lucrative market with their new Octiv Stage docking speaker system for the Apple iPad. Of course, it also supports the iPhone and iPod from Apple to provide you with a complete system support since most people who owns an iPad will most probably own both the latter devices too. The Octiv Stage is actually the first product from Altec Lansing designed to support the iPad and showcase its unique capabilities for entertainment.

The docking station provides an exciting experience for watching and listening to content as well as a stylish home for the iPad. The Octiv Stage adopts the Altec Lansing Audio Alignment technology that provides distinguishing centre channel voicing and enhanced stereo delivery for distortion-free performance even at full blast. Other features include the Apple 30-pin connector, a 3.5mm auxiliary jack, a wireless remote controller and a unique rotating connection arm, allowing the iPad to be viewed in both portrait and landscape positions. The Altec Lansing Octiv Stage is currently available at Apple Stores and other retailers for $149.95 a pop. Sadly Altec Lansing does not support Apple’s AirPlay, yet. But that would certainly add more ‘premium’ tax onto this product.
