Barnes & Noble has updated the firmware of the Nook eBook reader to version 1.5. The Nook eBook was launched earlier this year, and this new firmware will bring some refresh to the eBook. The firmware provides an increase of 50-percent on page refresh rates resulting in faster page turn, besides syncing across Nook apps, customizable folders, password protection, and improved search functions. It also enhances the battery life besides providing some performance boost. A reminder though, the firmware version 1.5 update is only compatible with both the 3G and WiFi only models of the reader.
