The first ever Apple computer was developed by Apple founder Steve Jobs at his parents’ garage together with friend Steve Wozniak. Only a few survived today, of the 200 examples of the original ‘Apple-1’ computer launched in 1976, and now one rare original ‘Apple-1’ is sold for a crazy £133,000 ($210,000).

Slower 1,000 times than the Apple iPad, but it was sold for 425 times the price at an auction at Christie in London. It was sold to an Italian businessman and private collector Marco Boglione, who made the offer over the phone. Must have been a very big Apple fan. Marco’s brother Francesco Boglione, who attended the auction in person, said that Marco’s purchase was a testament to his love of computers. Boglione said his brother’s newly purchased Apple-1 would likely be returned to working condition – and eventually join a collection of Apple computers.

The Apple-1 computer came with a tiny 8k memory; 524,000 times less than the standard memory of today’s Apple computer, it’s not even capable of storing an mp3.
