Concrete PC not everyone’s cup of tea, but sure is unique

This just further proves that each individual has different taste. Some might like the military design of Cooler Master’s HAF-series. Some might drool over Silverstone and Lian Li’s classy and sleek clean look for their aluminum casings. Even Thermaltake’s Level 10 cases have some devilish look striking me. But casing here surely will not appeal to the majority enthusiasts – a concrete PC. Read more…

Call of Duty: Black Ops smashes new record

It seemed that the critically acclaimed Call of Duty: Black Ops has made a huge wave in the gaming world, as it has somehow broke a release record for the computer entertainment world. When Black Ops were launched, it racked in 5.6 million copies on first day of release. Now, they’ve smashed their previous title Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s $550 million sales figure in the first five days, with a new record of $650 million in the same period for Black Ops. Autonomous Audi TTS successfully climbs Pikes Peak

We’ve previously read about a driverless Audi TTS climbing up Pikes Peak, but failed due to a crashed helicopter. But now, the said autonomous Audi TTS built by Volkswagen Group Electronics Research Lab, Stanford University and Audi has finally achieved that goal.

The self-driving Audi TTS officially completed a test run all the way to the top – that’s 14,110 feet at the summit – earlier this year, clocking a time of 27 minutes, which is pretty good considering that race officials typically expect a human driver to do it in around 17 minutes. Some tweaking and enhancing, and I’m sure it can shave off a few minutes off that record. Read more…

Adobe to fix Flash battery life issue?

Adobe to fix Flash battery life issue?

Last Tuesday during the Web 2.0 summit, Adobe’s CEO ShantanuNarayen announced that the company is working on optimizing the Flash for Macbook Air, which would probably lead to a release of an “optimized” version of Flash.

In addition to the comments on HTML5 vs Flash, Adobe CEO still manages to give Apple an open slap by blaming the entire battery life issue on Apple itself, stating that it is their fault for not sending Adobe a Macbook Air prior to its release. Funny why Apple must send Adobe a prototype of their own notebook, does this mean that Apple should send Adobe a version of all their products for testing? Read more…

A $10,000 notebook that you can’t have

Even if you can afford it. Well, nobody ever said that you can’t, actually. But you really can’t have this baby. It’s a totally blinged out Lenovo IdeaPad U160, but what’s making that price so high? Read more…

Get ready to have 10 gigs free in your PS3 if you want shorter loading time in GT5

It looks like we’re getting showered with more details of Gran Turismo 5. That’s great news actually, as it should further prove that the game is indeed coming very soon. You can play Gran Turismo 5 with a 256MB basic installation if you don’t have much space in your console. But if whole hog, you’re going to need 10 gigabytes upwards – and 50 minutes of installation cruise. Ouch! Read more…

Gran Turismo 5 has a Course Maker!

Yes, the game’s just a week away, but there’s no harm in eating up more teases from the developers. Here’s another reason why Gran Turismo 5 is awesome. The developers have added a new addition to the awesome features, of a new course creator that allows players to generate their own tracks.

What that means? Think Blizzard’s Starcraft 2 World Editor, but in Gran Turismo style. Yes, you can now cook up just about any combination of turns, elevation changes and the like by using the 10-percent of your brain power to enhance your creativity, and you might just make a new Nürburgring. View the whole city of Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood in the sky

View the whole city of Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood in the sky

This is probably why Assassin’s Creed is awesome. Well, at least for Brotherhood’s title. At times bugs and glitches in games are rather annoying. Either they totally crash your system, or they prevent you from continuing your storyline. But this glitch is awesome! Simply throw the player into the sky, and you’ve got yourself the best view of an entire city! You can’t really compare this to games like Grand Theft Auto or even Counter Strike with zero gravity. This is a game set in the Renaissance, with its whole city crafted out with marvelous graphic. They should’ve provided this view in the game somehow, instead of only climbing up to the tallest building. Now, can somebody tell Ubisoft to whip up the PC version faster?

Need for Speed Shift 2: Unleashed teased with awesome graphic

Have you played Hot Pursuit, EA’s latest Need for Speed series? If you’ve already, then you’d probably seen this trailer. EA announced that a sequel to their previous Need for Speed: Shift which takes place in track racing will be coming in spring 2011, and it’ll be called Need for Speed Shift 2: Unleashed. What an underwhelming name. Shift was also never my piece of cake. But if you look at the trailer, the graphic seemed to be rather serious, rivaling those from Polyphony’s Gran Turismo 5 and Codemaster’s Dirt 2 and F1 2010. Though, these are all graphically generated animation, so the final thing might or might not be so beautifully crafted. Read more…

Nvidia GTX 570 on the way boys

Nvidia GTX 570 on the way boys

Well Nvidia mentioned when they launched the GF110 card GeForce GTX 580, the remaining GT-500 series cards will follow up quickly. Now we might just see this ‘underclocked’ GTX 570, the next in-line arriving as soon as before Christmas probably, since they look very much final anyway. Well, if the GTX 580 is too brutal for you, then this card might just fit nicely.
