Renault sued, car name too humane.

This sure is a rare yet cute case to ever go into the court. Apparently Renault was sued for naming his car too typically of human’s name. Renault had ideas of giving its new electric vehicle concept the name Zoe Z.E., and was about to go full force in production for this very adorable yet super Hi-Tech car. Then again, a French lawyer, David Koubbi, sued to stop that kind of obvious “insanity”. Read more…

Lamborghini Sesto Elemento approved for limited production, time to sell your organs

Remember the marvellous Sesto Elemento Concept from Lamborghini? The carbon fiber beauty that debuted at the Paris Motor Show just two short months ago has reportedly been given the green light by its Italian automaker (or its German father, since Volkswagen owns them). The two-seat “Sixth Element” exotic is much more than radical jet-fighter styling and an obsession for lightweight, since previous Lamborghinis does not implement carbon fiber bodies.

Possible new hybrid batteries with double the current power and charges in seconds

Possible new hybrid batteries with double the current power and charges in seconds

New hybrid batteries that will have double the life and yet charges within seconds. Sounds like some very egoistic claim from some unknown researchers right? Not really. Ioxus Inc. is a new comer in the energy storage industry and they’ve about to announce a new hybrid energy storage device that they claim will “radically alter batteries used in the auto, medical, and consumer electronics industries”.

They tease that their new product is roughly the size of a typical C-cell battery and combines the fast charge / discharge benefits of ultra-capacitors with the remarkable energy-to-weight ratio of a lithium-ion electrode. As a result, Ioxus says the hybrid devices can store more than double the energy of traditional ultracapacitors and charge in a matter of seconds. The catch is that the hybrids have shorter life spans of 20,000 cycles compared to millions of cycles for typical ultracapacitors. Sounds very fishy right? Let’s wait for the official statement to come. But if this really is true, then the use of compact electrical devices will surely be revolutionized.

Lenovo LePad coming in 2011, Android tailored for tablet coming very soon!

And you think that the mighty Lenovo from China who has IBM under them wouldn’t join in the fun of tablets? Not really. Lenovo’s COO Rory Read previously stated clearly that Lenovo’s LePad wouldn’t shop until a tablet-ready version of Android was ready from Google. But now, CEO Yang Yuanqing recently told the Wall Street Journal that the Android tablet is indeed slated for a 2011 US launch. Well, this would only prove that Google will deliver the goods for tablet on time.
