Maybe this is the result of Intel lowering their processor’s price, or they’re clearing stock to update the Mac Mini with better processor? Or perhaps due to weaker dollar? Who knows? All we know is, Apple has cut the price for their little Mac Mini in Europe. That’s €100 in Europe and by £50 in the UK. Well, the Americans can only look in envy, as they wait their turn. Now, we’ll anxiously see if the Asian countries get their fair share of this price cut too. Great news, if you want a sweet HTPC that’s good looking and capable of playing 1080p content to your huge ass TV. We all know the Apple TV can’t, at least Apple’s saying they can’t.

This sure came as a surprise. Seriously, is everyone so eager to get into the slate business? Now the audio ‘specialist’ Creative is also onboard. They’re announcing not one, but two tablets. A pair of 7-inch (480 x 800) and 10-inch (1024 x 768) Ziio tablets (no Z-Pad?) running the Android 2.1 OS. Both feature a ZiiLabs ZMS-08 processor, Bluetooth 2.1 EDR, WiFi 802.11b/g, and microSD expansion. They’re slated to ship in December with the 7-incher costing €229 (8GB) or €259 (16GB) and the 10-incher demanding €289 (8GB) or €319 (16GB).

Michael Dell expressed at an event in Hong Kong, that it’s easier to develop smartphones using Microsoft’s Windows operating system than Google’s Android. Along that, he also mentioned said that Dell would be launching a “significant number” of tablet PC models next year. Now this somehow contradicts with the news of Dell launching their 7-inch “Looking Glass” tablet in a few weeks’ time. Looks like Dell prefers to develop on a platform that’s been there for many years instead of a platform initially developed for smartphones. Let’s wait until Gingerbread comes, and we shall see how that will change his opinion.

His name is Alex Severinsky, and he is a Russian man who came to the United States in 1978. Who’s he? He graduated from Ukraine’s Kharkiv University of Radioelectronics in 1967 before moving on to an Electrical Engineering Ph.D. from Moscow’s Institute for Precision Measurements in Radioelectronics and Physics in 1975. Well, that’s his background, and now that we got that cleared away, let’s head to the main thing here. How the hell he get paind for every hybrid sold in this world.
Here steps in his ‘Hyperdrive’ which he patented in 1994. This ‘Hyperdrive’ allows for a seamless transition between drive systems – what essentially allows hybrid vehicles to operate smoothly while switching between gas and electric power. Toyota uses a system similar to Hyperdrive in its hybrid vehicles yet the automaker states they developed this technology independent of Severinsky’s research. Nevertheless, the automaker is now forced to pay Alex Severinksy for every single hybrid vehicle it sells, thanks to a lengthy lawsuit two years ago. And the numbers? Well, the Toyota Prius has been around for a decade, if you want to know.
