HTPC are rarely associated with the word ‘performance’, but we’ve seen company that throws in a decent Core i7 processor into a nettop. Now here’s another similar scenario. Giada has done the same, by throwing in a Core i7 into their latest super-slim nettop PC called the Giada D2301, which looks quite sleek for a HTPC, though the antenna makes it look like an FM radio.

Measuring 9.1-inch x 6.9-inch x 2.2-inch, this minicomputer is powered by either an Intel Core i3, Core i5, or Core i7 processor, a second generation Nvidia ION 2 graphics, a slot-loading disc drive (with DVD and Blu-Ray options) and an optional digital TV tuner (which explains the huge antenna). What’s more, the D2301 supports 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, a couple of RAM slots, an HDMI port, a card reader, an eSATA port, four USB 2.0 ports and a single USB 3.0 port. Unfortunately, there is no word on pricing or availability.
