Phenom II X6 1100T review roundup: AMD's fastest desktop processor to date

When it comes to CPU, AMD has never really close up the gap that Intel made when it comes to performance. Knowing that they still can’t catch up with the chipzilla, AMD has chosen to closer the gap in terms of price. The latest Phenom II X6 1100T from AMD has significantly “improved the value of these high-end desktop processors by making the 1090T BE model even cheaper.”
AMD’s latest flagship has been launched, and it is indeed the fastest processor from AMD to date (the Phenom II X6 1100T), but it still isn’t anywhere near Intel’s pricey Core i7 980X. Besides launching the X6 1100T, there’s also the more affordable 3.4GHz Phenom II X2 565 Black Edition ($115) and 3.3GHz Athlon II X3 455 ($87) tagging along. Would be a great choice if you’re looking for something bang for buck and is tight in the budget.
