This may not be able to compete with the amount of iPhones sold by Apple within days, but still an impressive amount considering Apple call this a “hobby”, which usually gives an impression of a lowered expectation sales. Apple said last week that it expected its new Apple TV to cross the one million mark in sales before Christmas, and it’s now quietly confirmed that it has passed that mark during the weekends.

Roku is a rival when it comes to media streamer, but its CEO noted that the introduction of the new Apple TV actually seems to have led to a spike in sales of its own media streamers.
