December 6th, 2010

The news of the PlayStation Phone just won’t stop coming, which shows how real this thing gets. The phone, codenamed Zeus Z1 is getting popped up on the Internet more often now, and we’re getting two more new videos of the phone from Sony. You can clearly see a “PlayStation” icon on the phone’s touchscreen UI, which should hopefully put to rest any doubts that this phone will actually play PlayStation games.

Chrome OS netbook keyboard layout previewed

Here’s a keyboard of an unknown ODM netbook that’s loaded with the upcoming Chrome OS from Google. Looks very much like a keyboard layout from Acer’s 1410T netbook, but there are obvious changes on the keyboard’s key if you take a notice. Over on the left side of the panel you’ll see a “search” key subbing for a Caps Lock key, and up above, the function row has forward / back keys as well as Window, full screen, and “configuration” keys. The tipster also told Engadget that the Google-branded Chrome OS netbook will be announced next Tuesday, but won’t be on sale until December 14.

Pentax announces limited run K-r with robot theme bodypaint

Yes, this is as bizarre as how the Pinkon gets. Pentax has painted their K-r camera with a three-color theme, as well as an unknown Gundam’s head at the place of the flash hotshoe, but I’m not sure if the mecha’s head will really shoots out flashy hyper beams. In response to customers’ demand, Pentax has happily obliging them with this limited run of 100 “robotized” K-r sets.

The internal specs are unchanged from the original, but you do get a new 35mm prime lens with a wide F2.4 aperture to play with. Pre-orders costing ¥99,800 ($1,187) will start on December 24th for a delivery in early January. Time to look outstanding; holding a black DSLR is just so uncool and too professional.

Mophie gives your iPhone 4 even more life with the Juice Pack Plus

The iPhone 4 is an awesome smartphone, but there’s one thing to dread about this phone, and it’s the battery. But no worries though as you can always get this Mophie Juice Pack for your iPhone 4. Few months ago, Mophie introduces their Juice pack which has a 1,500mAh battery, but now they’ve updated added a new Mophie Juice Pack Plus which features an even bigger 2,000mAh battery that more than doubles the life of your touchscreen plat.

Unfortunately, the extra oomph bumps the price from $79.95 to $99.95 and adds another 1mm of bulk to the pack — not that a minor size bump should matter too much when you’re already strapping your svelte phone to a battery sled. It’s available now in black with yellow, magenta, and cyan coming soon.

Sony stuff in a PS2 in a very innocent Bravia TV.

Here’s another new TV from Sony, but this time this unsuspicious TV is actually very unique, because it’s hiding something inside of itself. The Sony Bravia KDL-22PX300 HDTV has been released in Europe. This HDTV is not a typical 22-inch LCD screen. It has a maximum resolution of 720p, 4x HDMI cables, 2x optical audio cables and 3x USB ports. What makes the Sony Bravia KDL-22PX300 more interesting is that it comes equipped with a built-in Sony PlayStation 2 console. What’s more, it also offers a built-in Freeview and two Ethernet ports for online access to sites such as YouTube. The Sony Bravia KDL-22PX300 HDTV is priced at around £200 ($310). Unsuspicious game console. Now when will they stuff in a PS3?
