Remember the 4.3-inch LTE smartphone that HTC will unveiled at January? Apparently Droid Life says that it’ll not be called the Mecha or the Incredible HD, but instead it’ll be called the Thunderbolt. It’ll obviously go to Verizon, which means a head on battle with the Sprint Evo 4G. We won’t be surprised if this is actually just the HTC Evo with the WiMax chip swapped with an LTE modem.
LG announced that it’ll be bumping its smart TV lineup to kick-start 2011, and here we go with the 72-inch LZ9700, which the company calls it world’s largest commercial LED-backlit 3D LCD HDTV, and its bringing it over to Vegas next week.
The LZ9700 is capable of handling both 2D and 3D content and offering TruMotion 400Hz to smooth out Cam Newton’s faster-than-fast evasion techniques. As you’d expect, this set is also outfitted with the company’s Smart TV functions, giving owners access to TV apps, games, language classes, etc. The company’s also talking up its Magic Motion Remote Control, which probably wants to have a fight with Samsung’s RMC30C1 remote control.
There has been a rumour of Google ordering partners to halt Google TV hardware until a significant update could be rolled out. That wind really hurts Logitech, as the company saw a 3-percent drop in their stock price. In order to stop the spread of such news and further hurting the market, Logitech has come out with an official statement. Read more…
This will only be appealing for those photography enthusiasts, and definitely the ‘coolest’ to them. This tree reminds me of the photo that we took at a photography session at a zoo, where all the lenses are placed on a table.

Apparently LG is going to pick up the slack with a new mobile digital TV that has a 3D display. The info stopped there, but CES is just weeks away, so there’s no harm in wild guessing what LG will be showing at CES. There’s a probability that the mobile digital 3D TV will be glasses-free, but will be hard to source outside of South Korea anyway.
Although Mark Zuckerberg clutched Time Magazine’s person of the year thanks to his brilliant social site, it was the Apple CEO who was awarded with the Financial Times’ accolade. Steve Jobs has been rather ‘the man’ when it launches the iPad and the iPhone 4, though the ‘antennagate’ was also a very dramatic one. But nevertheless, the achievements by the company have convinced the Financial Times to name the Apple CEO as its person of the year.
Earlier this month, Google ran a program that it’ll donate money for every Chrome tab opened. The program ran from December 15 through to December 19, and it was capped at $1 million. No sweat, the cap was hit. All users were required to download a specific extension and have it installed to their Chrome browser.
Tegra 2 on tablets are supposed to be the next big thing, as it’s supposed to be faster than Atom tablets and ARM tablets. Here’s a video demo of Acer’s tablet running on Tegra 2. The video is rather short, and doesn’t really demo a lot besides the ‘tilting the tablet to swipe through pages’ actions. Looks quite crappy really, hopefully there’s more than that for Tegra 2 tablets. Otherwise, the iPad 2 seemed to be a winning choice instead.
