Here’s a new Verbatim handy drive from Adorama. Staying true to Verbatim’s design of small handy drive, this 4GB handy drive takes the design of a paper clip.
Here’s a cool concept called Openaire, which consists of a semi-rigid protective sleeve. It’s designed by Nick Trincia, which works as a hybrid of laptop carrying case, work surface, and even as a chair. Now, you get to carry around your laptop in it, but it also serves as an ergonomic laptop work surface, and even functions as a comfortable seat, though I’m not sure how comfortable and durable the unfolded seat is.
Have you ever thought about the possibility of a zombie attacks? It might sound sudden, but if you’ve watched “High School of the Dead”, then don’t be surprised one day you’ll wake up just like how Takashi Komuro wake up to, where everyone got bitten by zombies, just that you might not get so lucky to be surrounded by some gorgeous and sexy survivors. Still, there’s no harm to prepare. Someone somewhere might just have that biochemical warfare weapon and just launch it all of a sudden, and you just didn’t get that infection. Maybe you’re special, or you’re “The One”. Who knows?
But it is always great to be prepared for anything, and we do seriously mean anything, like fortifying your car in case of a zombie massacre. Check out Mighty Car Mod’s tutorial on how you should fortify your car to fight with those mindless moving dead bodies, and how to keep your brain fresh and alive. A very interesting video indeed, as they also recommend some books that are very interesting and also quite important for your zombie survival. By the way, sports cars are important, they improve your morale!
Everyone has been churning our keyboard with cases for the iPad. Not sure why, as the iPad is supposed to be a touchscreen notebook with no keyboard, which makes it so compact and portable. Anyway, this Clamcase keyboard case is quite a pricey one at that. At the price of $120, it’s made of a high grade PC-ABS plastic with a soft touch coating, which probably can make up for the high price. The Clamcase features a chiclet keyboard with 14 function keys, Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity, a built-in rechargeable lithium-ion polymer battery good for 90 hours of interrupted use and a mini USB charging port with LED charging indicator. The case also provides open access to all of the iPad’s ports and controls. Anyway, don’t think you’ll get this as a Christmas present though, as it only hits retail in January.
Do you remember the oil spill disaster of BP at the Gulf of Mexico? There’s really no way to positively spin the disaster that took place in the Gulf of Mexico when BP’s Deepwater Horizon drilling platform exploded and leaked untold millions of gallons of oil into the ocean. Uncountable life forms died due to the incident, besides making the gulf a horrendous place. However, it seems that American auto manufacturer General Motors has figured out a way to “creatively recycle” a projected 100 miles of oil-soaked plastic boom material.
When Nikon launched its D7000 for another cat fight with Canon’s EOS 7D, things didn’t really go as well as they have planned. The D7000 suffered from a ‘hot pixel’ issue that pops up when taking videos in low light. Nikon has thus released the P7000 firmware update, but then again, despite saying that this update is solely to fix the hot pixel issue, Nikon USA stated that the “bright spots” effect has been “reduced”, but not totally eliminate the problem. Still, the hot pixel issue shouldn’t bother you that much now, so you can safely go and record your best white Christmas moment.
