LG Optimus black, huge yet slim.

Optimus black, quite possibly the sexiest Autobot phone out there, this is LG’s latest flagship Android phone. It’s packed with a 4-inch NOVA display that LG promise to be both bright (700 nits) and energy efficient. The phone is not only huge at 4-inch, but also super slim. That’s 9.2 mm slim, yet packed with 1,500mAh battery that the company says will be able to give you a full day of Android fun-ness. The taper on the back sees the set go from 9mm in the middle to 6mm on each side. The phone is also super light, weighting at 109g which is lighter than typical smartphone.
In addition to greater luminosity, the NOVA display on LG Optimus Black also radically reduces power consumption by 50 percent during general indoor use compared to a conventional LCD. Similarly, AMOLED consumes twice as much power as NOVA to display a full white screen, the most frequently used color scheme for web browsing. Combined with the 1500 mAh battery of the LG Optimus Black, users will have enough power for their daily needs, even at maximum brightness settings.
Spec wise, the phone has a 2-Megapixel front-facing camera, which is rare. LG says that the phone is currently shipping with Android 2.2 with LG’s Optimus UI 2.0, but will get a Gingerbread update very soon, and the phone itself will roll out globally in the first half of the year. Oddly, that’s the only spec that we can source, as the press release only emphasize on the size and the screen, but not raw power.
