iPad 2 Retina Display leaked by a wood

A .png wood to be more precise. A .png has been found in the iBooks 1.2 source files, dubbed “‘WoodTile@2x.png”. It has the size of 1536 x 800, while the old and busted WoodTile.png in iBooks 1.1 was 768 x 400. If you’ve noticed, that’s about 2X the size in both width and height, or 4X the pixels. If anything, this is a good indication of the next iPad 2’s screen resolution, which again is double the older one. Apple doubled the iPhone 4’s screen from the iPhone 3GS with Retina Display, so we should probably see the same result at the iPad.
