These few days we’ve been hearing HP preparing two new WebOS tablets that’ll be introduced in February, but oddly HP’s original Slate 500 hasn’t even reach retail yet. The reason given by HP is of “material shortage” and “high volume of orders” which are causing the delays. There hasn’t been any official numbers in regards of the pre-order numbers, but HP does confirm a 9,000 unit pre-order last month. Hopefully the delay will not be pushed too far that by the time it reaches your front door, the next WebOS tablet is launched. It’ll be a shame to these Atom powered Windows 7 tablets.
