Why? Well, because it wants to Tri-Force Tri-Boot. The tablet from Australian-based company Evolve III is expected to arrive in Q2 of 2011, and the 10.1-inch touchscreen tablet is powered by an Intel Atom N475 processor, a 2GB RAM, a 32GB SSD, a microSD card slot, a 1.3-megapixel webcam, 3G, WiFi, a G-Sensor, and built-in speakers. It’s also greedy enough to want to boot up Windows 7, Google Android, and MeeGo Linux operating system. Not in one go of course. But still a very greedy triple-booting tablet.

It seemed that more and more leaked info about Apple’s products is coming in, which significantly means that the products are very much near production phase. AppleInsider claimed that Apple is moving to dual-core SGX543 graphics, up from the A4′s single SGX535 GPU (also known as the PowerVR 535).

Well what do we have here? It’s January now, and HTC has kept their promise. The HTC 7 Pro is now officially available from O2 Germany carrier for the asking price of €29 down and 24 months of €22.50. If you want to rip the proverbial band-aid off faster, it’s also available for a €599 flat fee — both of those without SIM lock. Well, that’s Germany only at the moment, so we continue to ponder when ours will arrive. Hopefully it’ll be quick.

Can’t remember just what you read at your Kindle half an hour ago? Well, nobody said that you must memorize the whole Harry Potter books, but don’t you find it odd that you can’t recall just what you read? A Princeton study entitled “Fortune favors the bold (and the Italicized)” (their emphasis) has shown that readers retain information more reliably when they are challenged with so-called “disfluent” fonts (like the top one above). This surely goes head-on with the belief that easy to read text is easier to remember and should give typographical titans something else to ponder when placing text upon a page character by character. Well, something more challenging, not something that’s impossible to read.
Now if you look at e-readers, most of them utilizes standard fonts that cannot be changed, and most of the fonts that they use are in the “fluent” side. Yes, Princeton believes that you can’t remember well what you’ve read in your Kindle. The solution is, of course, to add more and broader font support to the devices, something we’d love to see regardless of scientific merit. Until that comes to pass try holding your Kindle at odd angles or squinting. Logically that should help improve your memory.

What surprise news this is! We saw Apple’s iPhone codes in the iOS 4.3 beta, with the missing ‘iPhone3, 3’ still nowhere to be found. But now, it seemed that they’ve found, probably. Last we heard, the rarest and ‘unpopular’ iPhone 4 white was delayed to a spring ’11 launch, and now these photos seemed to be acknowledging that. Has Apple and the engineers at Foxconn managed to materialize this particular white? These photos suggest so, as they’re showing new entries in Vodafone Germany’s inventory system for weiß (white) iPhone 4s in both 16 and 32GB flavors. Of course, there’s the possibility that they’re just adding it for the sake of adding it, since Apple once shown them to the public, and you would want your product’s numbering to be in the flow, despite not having that product, right? However, Engadget’s source claimed that we would be seeing a launch soon. So, should you waste some five hundred euros for this marvellous white, or to wait for the next iPhone?

In the market for a monitor hunting? You should probably check out these two new monitors from BenQ. BenQ is stepping up from its traditional glossy black plastic monitors to some high-end specs and more refined looking monitors with these two 24-inches. Meet the EW2430 and EW2430V “Vertical Alignment” LED monitors. They both use the same VA LED panel which promises a native 3,000:1 contrast ratio, minimal light leaking, an improved viewing angle, and a true 8-bit colour range, among other benefits. Connectivity wise, they’re quite generous this time, as you get two HDMI and four USB on each, a pair of 2W speakers, and some added features like “Smart Focus,” “Super Resolution,” and “3D Noise Reduction” on the EW2430V model. There’s no mention of price but you can expect both monitors to hit Europe and the Asia Pacific region this month.

A .png wood to be more precise. A .png has been found in the iBooks 1.2 source files, dubbed “‘WoodTile@2x.png”. It has the size of 1536 x 800, while the old and busted WoodTile.png in iBooks 1.1 was 768 x 400. If you’ve noticed, that’s about 2X the size in both width and height, or 4X the pixels. If anything, this is a good indication of the next iPad 2’s screen resolution, which again is double the older one. Apple doubled the iPhone 4’s screen from the iPhone 3GS with Retina Display, so we should probably see the same result at the iPad.
