Apple has been working with Verizon for a CDMA version of iPhone 4 to work in Verizon’s CDMA network, but that’s not the only project going on right now. Verizon CFO Francis Shammo has told Bloomberg that the iPad will also be getting similar treatment. Although light on details like price or release date wasn’t shed, Shammo did explicitly say a version that connects directly to Verizon’s network is in the pipeline. Price wise, that can be judged easily but timeframe? We can only assume that they’re referring to the current first generation iPad, but hey anything can happen right?

The rumour has been running very long and finally the US carrier announced that the iPhone 4 is indeed going to Big Red. Verizon Wireless will have a CDMA iPhone 4 in February. Current Verizon customers will be able to pre-order on February 3rd for the standard $200 price for the 16GB model on a two year agreement, $300 for the 32GB version — everyone else can order on February 10th. The phone is Verizon 3G (EV-DO) only, meaning to say no 4G data or GSM roaming or any sort of LTE.

We’ve seen people going super famous at YouTube, and even making a career as an artist like some Justin… can’t remember his full name. There’s also the Apple girl that got herself a contract after using three iPhones to make a song at YouTube. So the conclusion that we have here is, iPhone + Mic = Artist Recording Contract!
Many people have that dream of becoming super-duper famous and have their own recordings and albums and even leave their hand marks at the Walk of Fame. That’s why you really need this. IK Multimedia, the same company that dish out the iKlip, is back with the iRig iMic, hailed as the first handheld condenser microphone for the iPhone. The image above truly explains it all — it’s designed to plug directly into your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch, and so long as you’ve got a recording app of choice, you’ll be capturing your vocals in no time flat.
Don’t worry if you sound awful, because 2010 was the year of ‘Autotune’ so nobody’s going to complain. What’s more, IK’s VocaLive effects processor is tossed in gratis. Pricing details are being kept under wraps for reasons unknown, but let’s be honest – you’re buying one even if it means losing two arms and a leg. No matter what, it’s going to be worth considering you’re given a chance to be a superstar. Even a blind man can be a judge in Taiwan’s top artist talent search show.

Nintendo’s just unveiled its best-case scenario figures for the 3DS’ battery life, and it’s not good news. The official numbers of playtime for the 3DS is three to five hours per game, or five to eight if you’re on an older DS title. And all this will be replenished in three hours and 30 minutes of recharging for a full blast again.
This is not entirely surprising, as such advance device will not be able to last you that long if compared to old school DS that does not consume that much power. However, Nintendo chief Satoru Iwata ever mentioned in October that “it is inevitable that Nintendo 3DS will be a device which requires more frequent recharging than Nintendo DS.” Not like they never mentioned that warning before. If you look at smartphone energy consumption, it’s pretty much similar. Try game on your iPhone for hours straight and you can’t go far too.
This is probably a good time to introduce a breakthrough in rechargeable battery storage guys.

Here’s some funky stuff about ‘recycling’. I’m sure you all know what that thing above is. There’s more below. There’s a scale, a corkscrew, and even a bowl. In a collaborative effort, Triumph Motorcycles and art students reused motorcycle parts into our everyday gadgets (or most people’s daily gadgets at least). If you check the source, there’s even a hat stand made from bike parts. Really amazing stuff, adding classy looks to some very cool designs

Here’s a light that’s look like a very familiar white Ring, and called “Ring”, literally. The designer is Loris Bottello, and this bioluminescent polymer light is inspired by Tron. The intensity of the light can be adjusted by rotating the disc. Good thing here is that you can’t really kill anyone by throwing this “Ring” like a boomerang.
