We’ve seen Vodafone Germany and Best Buy systems listing the white knight, and now finally the ever mysterious white iPhone 4 has finally shown up at AT&T model picker phone list. There’s even both the 16GB and the 32GB versions listed, which means even more that these white knights that many have been waiting for is getting very much ready to leave the factory in China after enduring so many torture and endurance tests, and ready to serve us. So, since AT&T has listed them, will Verizon list the white iPhones in their system with CDMS supports?
Right, we now have ‘unconfirmed’ full spec of the HP Topaz, but some people just can’t stop digging because people just keep on wanting more. We probably don’t need HP’s conference anymore if this keeps on going. “Yes, this is true…” “Yes, that is true…” “As you’ve read on the Internet, the Topaz is indeed…”
Anyway, here’s something more from another little document dug out from HP’s 2010 archives, and it’s delving into tablet-specific UI elements in webOS. The first notable thing is the inclusion of more sophisticated gesture and tap controls, with double-tap, tap-and-hold, and even two-finger tap-and-drag actions serving some unspecified functions in the tablet version of the software. Tabbed browsing also makes an appearance, alongside an auto-expanding email client and a page-turning element, all of which may or may not be in the final build shipping with the final devices. That’s why we have the word “unofficial” in the dictionary.
These days, smartphones have given us true mobility as in information on the go. We get to connect to the net, check mails, run some funky apps (useful or not), and now even print some documents thanks to Google Cloud Print. All you need to do is to connect a printer to the cloud. Yes, the cloud in the sky, so you might need a USB cable few kilometres in length.
Anyway, it doesn’t matter where you travel to or if you’re at the other end of the world, with the new Google Cloud Print for mobile which will be slowly finding its way for English speaking users, all you have to do is select the print option in the dropdown menu and print directly from there. As long as you have a printer connected to the Internet, you’re done. Better than WiFi printing eh?
According to Google Mobile’s blog, the feature will be rolling out for English speaking users in the US but fortunately, I see it on my iPhone too. It’ll work on most phones that support HTML5 such as devices running on Google Android 2.1 and above, and Apple iOS 3 and above. To get started, you’ll first need to connect your printer to cloud print. Sounds too good to be true? Well, sometimes some things just works that way, this feature will only be available for Windows PC now but fret not, the team at Google are already working on Linux and Mac support.
This is a very big surprise indeed. Now we can really say that Apple has pushed the tablet market with a huge momentum with their iPad, that now even Nokia is “possibly” interested in the tablet market.
There’s really no way to skip this photo with a skeptical face, unless this is a China-made fake product. The tablet which bears a bold Nokia logo front and center on its shell is seen with MeeGo software of some form. The MeeGo that we see here seem to be stock too.
Why is that so? Well, when you get to play with the phone when you’re having a lunch at Mid Valley with your friend who’s working in Sony Ericsson, and you get to play his latest phone which appears to be a random Xperia Arc that was just announced few weeks ago at Vegas, that’s how soon it gets.
Raffles Place has always been a very happening spot in Singapore, as we’ve seen quite a number of flash mob dances held there. But this time, this performance is more related to the upcoming festive season. Yes, Chinese New Year is coming very soon, just a week’s time, and it’s common to see lion dance show popping up in the neighborhood. But this is not your ordinary lion dance show. This is the result of too much Girls’ Generation (SNSD) and Step Up 3D. The ballet dance is cute thought. The only thing doing some break dance move is the tall dude in front…
Great news for those looking for new powerful graphic cards to match with their latest Sandy Bridge processors, MSI has launched two new high-end graphic cards that are fitted with their famous MSI Twin Frozr II cooling system that combines two fans to cool both the GPU and RAM and on the video card.
With the help of the Twin Frozr II cooler, noise output is said to be lower than stock by 8.4dB while operating temperatures are lowered by some 20-degree Celsius compared to stock coolers. The N570GTX and N580GTX also support the MSI Afterburner, which allows for instant adjustment of the GPU Frequency and GPU voltages.
Right, we’ve been getting a dozen doze of Apple’s upcoming iPad 2 news that it’s getting quite boring. RIM’s Playbook has been shown and teased to the public for so many times, but yet it’s not ready for the market because RIM said they’re still tackling issues with the battery life. But now it seemed that the wait will not be that long anymore.
The Canadian company’s senior business marketing VP Jeff McDowell has openly claimed that the PlayBook will offer “equal or greater” battery endurance to Apple’s device, while using a smaller cell size. But what about the iPad 2? Will the Playbook be in time to come out and have a good fight, or short-lived?
