A room with literally 250,000 ping pong balls

We’ve seen some very awesome designs when it comes to house and interior design, but stuffing ping pong balls all over the wall of your house isn’t really very practical. Yes, it’s new (at least widely known), and looks very out-of-earth, but good looking? I’ll reserve my comments here.

The apartment room is a small loft attached next to the offices of Snarkitecture, the architecture firm that the dude works in. yes, Daniel Arsham works next to his office. The place isn’t really used for much beyond sleeping and dressing, so it’s pretty basic. That’s why he plastered some 250,000 ping pong balls to the walls of his room.

[T]he place is a study in simplicity. Arsham’s got a bed with some built-in shelves and a dresser, where he keeps a few clothes. To enter the loft, he climbs a ladder through the office’s employee bathroom.

Sounds and looks slightly above normal to me, but somehow that strange design makes the place feel like the ideal spot for a quick break from work. Though, I’d prefer a room with more ‘sky’ in it, like maybe a window or something. By the way, can somebody tell him that ping pong balls are made of cellulose, and that they’re flammable? Somehow, 250,000 ping pong balls on fire is indeed quite a sight.
