Yes, Firefox 4 isn’t really out yet. We’re still lurking around Beta 11 if I’m not mistaken, but the Mozilla’s user experience team is already doing their nit-pick-y work on Firefox 5. Quite a lot of rework has been done, which makes me think why not dump all these into the fourth instead. There have been tonnes of changes, including webapp improvements, session restore, menu overhaul, and some tiny performance improvements.

The really slick Panorama Manager that you get in Firefox 4 will have the new ‘Session Restore’ in Firefox 5. There’s site specific webapps, something from the Prism Project. The Add-on Manager seemed to get some overhaul too. Overall, there are lots of changes in the Five. Hopefully for the better, as we don’t want the new interface to look too heavy and complex while being cool right?
