Now here’s one good looking media streamer. After launching the company’s Ultra HTPC, they now unveiled their new Xtreamer Prodigy. It’s a Realtek 1185-based media player and streamer that sports USB 3.0 connectivity, 256MB RAM, 512MB NAND flash, HDMI, an integral IR remote control, a multi-card reader and a 3.5-inch HDD bay. Sadly no Thunderbolt here, but it’ll come eventually anyway. Now, what’s so special about this Xteamer Prodigy compared to others, is that its GUI is made of Adobe Flash, making it quite cool to use. Moreover, there’s support for Apple AirPlay, which would make many Apple fans very happy indeed. There’s also support for Mediafly, Google Talk, Last FM, Pandora, Facebook, and more. Thus far there’s no specific time and price, but it’s rumoured to cost €119, which seemed quite reasonable.
