The new Transformers 3 isn’t even out yet, and everyone’s already talking about it. Good and bad stuff, yeah we know. Even Megan Fox got replaced, but many seemed happy about that. Anyway, this is not why we’re talking about a trailer of Transformer. Apparently, Transformers have invaded the Nascar. Yes, the ad was aired during the Daytona 500, which just ended. However, the ad isn’t that simple of a movie trailer. If you look closely, apparently there’s Autobots with numbers on the doors! Now since when is there a Transformer from the Nascar? Damn you Michael Bay!

They’ve done it again, and this time the refresh is very early. Just three months ago we saw a sweet NTT DoCoMo phone, but now here’s a new leak of a supposed February 24 hardware launch of a new NEC Android phone. It’s crazily thin, as the NEC MEDIAS N-04C is only 7.7mm-thick! It follows last year’s N-04B in nomenclature only, what with the older model being a flip phone, and offers a spacious 4-inch touchscreen, a 1seg TV Tuner, NFC contactless payments using Sony’s FeliCa standard, and a skinned version of Android 2.2. Look out for it in Japan soon, but don’t hold your breath if you live outside the land of the sun. Records show that they hardly leave their homeland.

It’s been known for quite some time, but now it goes official. After having their “M” performance division, the Germany luxury car marque BMW is preparing a new and electrifying division under the prefix “I”, a sub-marque much like the company’s M cars. This time around, it’s highlighting new technology to create cars that are “good for us” while also being “good for our planet.” It’s what the company calls “premium mobility,” cars for daily commuting that will let you “enjoy the finer things in life” without killing the planet in the process. It’s known that manufacturers of new screen panels use PenTile style for their screen, like the latest Motorola Atrix 4G’s qHD screen. Unlike traditional displays (CRT, LCD, plasma, you name it) typically use one red, one green, and one blue subpixel per pixel, and the end result is that AMOLEDs and Super TFT and what not, they tend to be a little grainier by comparison at a given resolution. That’s because of their little visual trickery whereby green subpixels occur with greater frequency than red and blue. Apparently it’s cheaper to manufacture and also saves more on the electricity. While Intel’s Sandy Bridge has been making headlines everywhere, let’s not forget about AMD’s Bobcat platform. Their Zacate E-350 APU might have managed to get into a number of laptops, but it’s not getting very well featured in a desktop based on Fusion right now. But great news, as Zotac has once again made a great HTPC by utilizing this new AMD Fusion APU in its latest Zbox AD03/AD03 Plus. Read more…

We’ve seen plenty of HD monitors in the market. Actually, it’s flooded with HD monitors. However, if you’re looking for a proper ‘professional’ monitor, then you should look in this direction. It’s rare to find monitors with 1,920 x 1,200 resolutions, but Asus will gladly sell you one, for a price of $499.99 of course. This is Asus’s PA246Q, a 24.1-inch P-IPS LCD, complete with a six millisecond response time, tilt / swivel stand, a pair of USB sockets, an integrated 7-in-1 card reader, 400 nits of brightness and a 50,000:1 dynamic contrast ratio. It’s also capable of covering 98 percent of the Adobe RGB spectrum, so all but the most particular of creative professionals should be duly satisfied with color reproduction. Of course, you’re also getting 178 degree viewing angles, DVI / HDMI / DisplayPort / VGA inputs and support for a VESA wall mount. But the price sure will give you a comma in your thoughts, before hastily buying it.

After much controversy, the Motorola Xoom (WiFi + 3G model) is now finally available for pre-order in the US via Best Buy. It’s yours for $799.99 and will start shipping on February 24th from Verizon. The Motorola Xoom is also up on Verizon’s website, but there’s one funky fine print there if you notice. “Adobe Flash expected Spring 2011.”

Now that’s odd, and it’s true as Motorola has given this statement regarding Flash on the Xoom.
“Motorola XOOM will include full support for Adobe® Flash® Player® for accessing the rich video and animations of the web, to be available after launch.”
Anyway, let’s not hesitate and get this Tegra 2 Honeycomb tablet.
