MagicWand Combines Your Magic Trackpad and Keyboard into a Single Super-Peripheral

Apple’s keyboard has been a great one to use with, though I much prefer the older one which comes with the numerical pad. Never mind that grudge, as we’ve been given the Magic Trackpad instead. However, you can’t really just use duct tape and have the keyboard and Trackpad fused together so that you can have both together while typing on your lap. Feels so awful, we know. Read more…

Pagani Huuuuuayra gets some flames in Shift 2: Unleashed

Yes, the Zonda with countless of ‘Special Edition’ is finally coming to an end. Not that we really hate the Zonda, it is indeed a great supercar. The successor however, is lacking some love even when it’s yet to hit the streets. Not a great looker to begin with. But now, Pagani is giving its catfish jet car a good publicity by giving the Need for Speed team some Huuuuuuuuuayra love. This might not be the real deal if you want a porn video of the Huayra, but a digital render is fine for us.

Is Dell preparing some Ice Cream phones and Honeycomb tablets?

Is Dell preparing some Ice Cream phones and Honeycomb tablets?

I believe they do. That’s because this supposed leaked slide showing roadmap of Dell suggests that we’ll be seeing multiple phones this year from Dell, including a pair of Android phones—one portrait slider, the other a 4.3-inch big screen touchy phone—with dual-core processors and the upcoming Ice Cream Android OS.

Dell also has plenty of other products planned, which include a new WP7 phone this year, multiple android tablets, a Windows 7 tablet and a mysterious Windows 8 tablet pegged for next year. Looks like Windows 8 is coming sooner than we think. Hopefully there are no more delays this time from Microsoft.

How to build your own waves

February 22nd, 2011

Like some specific individual with wig once said, if there’s no bridge, we build bridge. Over at New Zealand, because there are no waves to surf, they build waves.

The beach sits at the base of a valley near a small stream and the sand gets pushed up by the wavesand creates a dam. In order to get some waves, they must dig a trench to release the wave power.

Google Chrome Beta Updates with Speed Boosts All Around, Passphrase Encryption for Sync

February 22nd, 2011

Google’s web browser Chrome has been a solid contender to the likes of Firefox and IE, though I’m not sure who’s still using IE at this age. Anyway, if you’ve been using the beta version of Google Chrome, then you may have noticed the update icon sitting atop the wrench button. Once you install the update (click the wrench, then click Update Google Chrome), you can expect a solid speed boost from Chrome’s updated JavaScript engine, some support for GPU-accelerated video, passphrase-encrypted password sync, and a redesigned settings dialog, including easy links to each and every setting boxes.

This tiny toy camera is your perfect spycam

Need for Speed Hot Pursuit

Now this is what I call a real spy’s camera. The size of your finger, and yet capable to store a microSD card, this is the $95 Mame-Cam from Japanese company Thanko. It’s capable of recording video shot in VGA resolutions at 30fps, and the battery is good for 36 minutes’ shooting. Not much, but enough to record the bad guy’s dirty business red handed, if you’re wise enough. Full 36 minutes of kinkiness.

Sneak peak of Firefox 5

Sneak peak of Firefox 5

Yes, Firefox 4 isn’t really out yet. We’re still lurking around Beta 11 if I’m not mistaken, but the Mozilla’s user experience team is already doing their nit-pick-y work on Firefox 5. Quite a lot of rework has been done, which makes me think why not dump all these into the fourth instead. There have been tonnes of changes, including webapp improvements, session restore, menu overhaul, and some tiny performance improvements. Read more…
