Asus, MSI, and Gigabyte announce Intel 6-Series motherboard replacement programs

Intel announced a major recall for all 6-series chipsets, a critical move which involves the most important part of any Sandy Bridge platform, which is the motherboard. As we already know, the problem lies with a transistor with a thin gate oxide being driven by too high of a voltage, thus leading to degradation of SATA port performance which may also lead to malfunctions of hardware.

Sony Ericsson Xperia Play unveiled at Super Bowl, official this coming Sunday

Arguably, it is going to be hard to top over a phone that is designed with PlayStation’s DNA in it, though I’m certain other phone manufacturers will not be sitting on their laurels quietly. You can expect that everybody going to appear at the event with all guns blazing.

Some even went as far as claiming it to be capable of rivalling the Apple iPhone 4’s screen, though I must admit the AMOLED screen is indeed very brilliant looking. But this story will come to an end very soon, as Samsung is preparing another successful story for its Galaxy smartphones with the revealing of its successor at the Mobile World Congress 2011 in Barcelona.
