Internet Explorer 9 gets WebM support with ‘preview’ plug-in from Google

Microsoft’s infamous Internet Explorer 9 has just gone live few days ago, and Google has already get along with Microsoft by releasing an early WebM plug-in for Microsoft’s dear browser, something even Microsoft themselves refused to do, despite fully supporting HTML5.
Of course, this is only a “preview” at what Internet Explorer 9 can do if Microsoft is willing to play along, which we doubt. The add-on will enable users to play all WebM video content, despite the fact that an additional download is needed. Microsoft said that it would allow for support and it appears to be following up on its word. Hopefully this statement will last.
