3D Radeon HD technology (HD3D) is AMD’s answer to Nvidia 3D Surround

Nvidia introduced their 3D Surround Vision as a mean for letting gamers game in 3D or watch movie in 3D, but AMD has been missing in the 3D crowd. Now AMD seemed to have a proper answer to that, though it’s not fully integrated into their Catalyst driver system.

Zoomin Watch Concept gives you a pair of magnifying glasses

Here’s a watch that might give you some nostalgic feeling. It’s like the old days where people use single magnifying glass with a string, and a flipped out clock with chains. Designed by Gennady Martynov and Emre Cetinkoprulu, the Zoomin Watch is a unique analog watch with lots of tiny little numbers. But because they know the numbers are too small, and they don’t want to spoil your eyes any further, the hour and minute hands are replaced by mini magnifying glasses, which makes reading the time as easy as a digital watch, but with some sense of style instead of some LCD or E-Ink screen. Too bad, it is only a concept at this moment, as usual from Yanko Design.

HP Veer coming in May, according to O2 Germany

The HP TouchPad and the HP Pre 3 has been getting all the attention, but sadly its little brother the HP Veer is getting neglected. The tiny phone that will succeed the Pixi will be launching in Europe sometime in May, according to O2 Germany. Previously HP only commented on the launch date being “this spring”. Unfortunately, there’s still no news on how much this tiny smartphone powered by WebOS 3.0 will be priced.

Samsung announces availability and pricing for 2011 HDTVs, Blu-ray players and HTIB

Samsung has announced the pricing for its 2011 HDTVs (both LCD and plasma), Blu-ray players, and home theatre in a box system, though some of the models have actually arrived in stores a month ago. Slowpoke Samsung. Nevertheless, it’s a welcome guide to potential buyers scouting for new TVs and home theatre system. Both plasma and LCD HDTV lines have new slim bezeled models, with new LED lighting tech for the LCDs and “Real Black” panels for the plasmas that have grown an inch in size this year. Meanwhile, the Blu-ray players have predictably gotten slimmer and faster, booting up in just three seconds. 3D and Smart TV features are standard on the majority of the new products.

Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 Teaser Video

Samsung made huge headlines when it launched its first 7-inch Galaxy Tab that it hoped will bite a big chunk of the iPad’s market, but it didn’t. Then Samsung though that the size was wrong, and went back to develop a proper 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab that was killed by the iPad 2 even before it was launched, and made Samsung’s president sad. Now, they’re ready to go even further, by launching another new tablet that sits between the two failures. Here is a new teaser video of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 Android tablet. The company is expected to unveil this new tablet on March 22nd, 2011. The video shows a new tablet from various angles, but there is not a single picture showing the tablet in full. Very tricky, Samsung, though I really ‘lol’ at the video for being very Apple-ish, but I don’t think their magical stunt that mimic Apple actually manage to pull out the result that’s similar to Apple’s.

Nvidia 3D Vision Glass gets an update

Nvidia has given its 3D Vision Glass some simple update, though the fashion sense is still rather miserable. The 3D Glass now has a longer battery life that the company says is capable of letting you get immense in your 3D virtual world for up to 60-hours per single charge, so you get to spend more time with your imaginary 3D wife. What’s more, it’s priced at $149, which is $50 cheaper than the Mark I. Still very pricey considering you’ll also need to pair it with a 3D monitor.
