Now this is a very high-tech watch that I can still easily read. The Phosphor brand usually means products with E-Ink, but this time they’re taking things a ‘big’ step further with their latest Reveal lineup.
When it comes to watches, crystals and diamonds, and all sorts of stones can be found on them. I’ve seen watches that are fully covered with diamonds that you can literally sight the watch even before the person enters your view. With this new Reveal model, Phosphor has planted a new “proprietary Micro-Magnetic Mechanical Digital technology” to rotate Swarovski crystals into place to form digital time readouts on the thoroughly encrusted face.
Instead of the usual needle or E-Ink that tells you the time and every information that they can, you have shiny Swarovski crystals telling you the time. The models are available in six styles — four for women, two for men — starting today from $199 and up. This is what we call a real pimped watch.

March 11 is increasingly near as we go, and to some it might be just a normal Friday but to some others it’s the day for them to buy the magical iPad 2, which by the way is 30-percent thinner! But there is also a small number that’s going to be anticipating this day, they day they get to fully launch their bonanza of online scams and tricks relating to the new iPad 2.

When it comes to concepts, we can only drool over it and hope that someday someone will pick it up and actually go and mass-manufacture such beautiful concepts. If you have lots of power sockets at home, you’ll find that quite a number of them are actually hard to remove after being used for long. The connector is often too tight, so it can’t be pulled out with just one hand. We might not have problems removing it with two hands, but there will be times when you’re much occupied and can only use a hand to remove the plug. That’s why Zhao Zhao Hui’s design is very smart. His concept, the Single Hand Socket Strip, creatively designed to allow you to pull your electric plugs/power plugs single-handed without causing any damage to the head or wire or your fingers.

Here’s something unique from Asus that’s shown on the floor of CeBIT last week. Probably to bring Kinect closer to PC users, in a way, here’s Asus WAVI Xtion (pronounced “way-vee action”, need to emphasize that).
It consists of two parts, which is the WAVI wireless media streaming device and the Xtion motion sensor. The device streams high definition media wirelessly from a PC located in one room to a TV in another room. The ASUS WAVI Xtion also integrates the motion-sensing technology from PrimeSense with the exclusive ASUS Xtion Portal user interface to bring consumers closer to technology through intuitive interaction with applications. Connections to both PCs and TVs via wireless HDMI(WHDI technology) deliver smooth transfers of high definition content such as movies, games and photos in 5GHz with a range of up to 25-meter.
So Asus doesn’t specific what it’s used for. Video call or large size video conference? Yes, that probably work in some sense, but I don’t see how games can utilize such device, unless you have a specific developer community for it.

It’s always great news that more manufacturers are launching new products with support for USB 3.0. Here’s Plextor’s latest USB 3.0 portable hard drive called the PX-PH500U3. Coming in 500GB capacity only, this 2.5-inch hard drive features an aircraft grade aluminium enclosure, something which will look good when paired with your new MacBook Pro, except that your MacBook Pro comes with Thunderbolt port instead of USB3.0. Too bad, but the PX-PH500U3 is also backward compatible with USB2.0 thought. It also comes with the FNet PC Clone EX software for data backup and restore, which should add superb value to its price of €99 ($138).

It seems that the future of HTPC or nettop is going to be rather bright, with the debut of AMD’s Fusion-based PC. Here’s a good example. MSI has recently unveiled their newest AMD Fusion-based nettop PC at CeBIT 2011, which just ended this weekend. It’s called the Wind Box DC100, and this space-saving machine does look good. This pretty little box sports a 1.6GHz AMD Zacate E-350 APU dual-core processor, a Radeon HD 6310 graphics card, a 2GB DDR3 RAM, a 250GB hard drive, six USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI port and WiFi connectivity. Pretty sure it’ll run all your HD movies with no sweat. Pricing and release date are still unknown at the moment. There’s no mention of a specific launch date or price yet, so do stay tune.
