Car accidents happen every day, but accidents that involve supercars are quite rare. Cars like the super elite Aventador usually ends up in the hands of a privileged few, but they also occasionally end up stuffed into guardrails due to some faggots. However, things aren’t going to be so simple for this new Aventador, because of the new carbon fiber monocoque used for the passenger compartment. I mean, yes yo can find some super mechanics for your supercar, but how many of them knows how to fix chipped carbon fiber chassis?
Lamborghini developed this 691-horsepower with the help from Boeing, which together they made the magic happened, a reinforced carbon-fiber monocoque passenger compartment that weights at only 324 pounds (147 kg). Because of this advanced passenger cell, the Aventador is light, stiff and very strong. But when an accident happens to a Aventador on the road (or anywhere), how do you fix it? Well, you’ll have Lamborghini fly in a so-called flying doctor! Read more…

Now this is a funny yet odd scene. Usually when your car turtled, you’d need a tow truck to do the dirty job. Yes, it’s bloody hell expensive, but at times you do need the skills and experience of the tow truck drivers to handle your damaged car, because you’d want to avoid something like this. The clip shows a poor GMC Sierra capsized on a frozen lake and the ensuing attempt to get it back on its feet.
Rather than enlist the assistance of a qualified tow truck operator, the helpful hands on scene apparently decided to take matters into their own hands with a little boost from a piece of heavy equipment. Unfortunately, the truck had already been totalled even before the disaster, and the tow actually made it worse. The video clip does seem to be having slightly too much vulgar word though.

We’ve heard of rumours that Microsoft will be unveiling their next Windows, called the Windows 8, in summer this year. Not only that, but this new Windows will be heading into multiple platforms due to emphasis on touchscreen device and touch-centric UI. However, Bloomberg’s anonymous sources report that Microsoft won’t release a tablet operating system until the 2012 back-to-school season, and will only begin to test the OS at the end of this year. There’s no telling how trustworthy this source is, because Dell already has a Windows 8 slate scheduled for launch in January of 2012, and it’s hard to imagine Microsoft letting Apple’s iPads replace textbooks entirely at schools, and having all the cash to them, without Microsoft doing a single thing to it.

Ladies and gentlemen, apparently there are nearly 200,000 men who look like that, so don’t be surprised if you think you’ve seen him a few times. The image above is actually a composite of nearly 200,000 photos of men who fit a certain description, but what description?

I’m surprised there’s still some left. Steve Jobs announced that the new iPad will stay exactly the same price as the original iPad. Now, what about the first generation iPad? If you’re in the market for older generation products, then this is good news for you. The iPad 2 won’t be here until March 11, but Apple is already putting the original models on sale. Right now you can grab up that base model 16GB WiFi only iPad for as low as RM1,199 ($399). The whole range of first generation iPad is up for sale actually, but I’m not sure how long the stock will last, since Apple has indeed halt the production, and retailers are claiming that they can’t restock the iPad anymore.

Apparently AMD isn’t very pleased with Intel’s announcement of the new blistering fast I/O connection called Thunderbolt. Well, they are rivals anyway, so logically anything that Intel announces would usually brush the bruise of AMD, no matter what it is.
An unnamed AMD representative reportedly said that Intel’s new Thunderbolt tech will become another proprietary standard that may not be widely adopted, giving reason that the current overall lack of devices that can take advantage of the extreme throughput. The spokesperson even claims that this new tech might not bring any tangible improvements to the industry, as it does not “substantially” outperform current generation I/O technologies and can even offer lower bandwidth in some cases.

And you thought that your smartphone is very safe from any security threats? Well, here’s something to punch start the controversy. Google has used its mighty kill-switch to pull down 21 applications in its Android App Store. Why? Well, they’re found to have malwares! Apparently it’s all related to a malicious exploit called ‘rageagainstthecage’. Apparently the exploit roots your phone or tablet, and allows the app to do all kinds of nasty things with your personal information left in your phone.
The infected apps, all published by a developer called Myournet, were discovered by a Reddit user earlier this week. At least 50,000 people are said to have downloaded the apps. Google’s kill switch will have wiped the bad apples from users’ devices but Android Central reports that Google actually patched its source code to prevent this type of exploit, so users running Android 2.2.2 and up will not have been affected at all.
