AMD back in the game, want to fight with Intel Core i7?
March 2nd, 2011
Thus far AMD has been out of the game when it comes to performance market and the fight of the top dog. Their new Fusion chips are all about the low-end market performance and miniature setups. However, AMD has not given up the throne just yet, as they believe their new Accelerated Processing Units may be able to give Chipzilla a good punching session. AMD has shown off their new quad-core Llano APU by pitting it up against Intel’s latest Sandy Bridge platform in the video below. Well, a simple test can’t really show the performance of a certain platform, but it’s still a good comparison. A 3D game, HD video playback (plus post-processing on the Llano rig), Excel calculations, and some 3D modeling, all running simultaneously — is handled most impressively by the A8-3510MX APU, which even manages to use less power than Intel’s 2GHz Core i7-2630QM. Yes, here it is; the Intel SSD 510 series. This is a new SSD from Intel that the company say is for demanding gamers, media creators, performance-intensive workstation users and any technology enthusiast who wants to significantly increase performance of their systems. Fair enough, since SSD does provide a huge speed boost over conventional spinning bricks. Performance wise, it features fast SATA 6Gbps performance, supporting read speed of 500MB/s and write speed of 315MB/s. A decent speed with support for 6Gbps SATA interfaces, but not as superior as OCZ Vertex 3 which is capable of speed of over 500MB/s for both read and writes speed. The Intel SSD 510 series is currently available in 120GB and 250GB of storage capacities for $294 and $583, respectively. Do you 'Potong'?

Good gracious. I feel like making a big ‘TIDAK’ sticker and stick to the signboard. You might disagree, but letting people hogging the road and wasting my time on the road is a big ‘no-no’. Either you ‘potong’, or let people ‘potong’ you first. Koenigsegg Agera R arrives, ready to take the throne back
