It seemed that the whole range of Alphas will be going through a big change. Shown earlier on their A55 and A33 models, Sony now confirmed that its translucent mirror tech will be coming to the entire Alpha line.
The sensor actually captures light through the mirror itself, which is just reflective enough to allow for real-time focusing even while capturing video. This is indeed a rather bold move, as thus far we’ve yet to see the overall results of this new tech in photography, and only time will tell whether it helps to boost Sony’s street cred up to Canon and Nikon levels.
It seemed that Mac OS X Lion will introduce quite a huge number of internal performance changes, and among them is Apple’s browser, Safari. To me, Safari is quite dreadful to use as it’s not the smoothest browser among few that I’ve used, and not very stable too to say the least. But now it’s getting much improvement (in Lion, that is), thanks to WebKit2.
Apple will be utilizing WebKit2 in their Safari web browser in Lion. The advanced version of Apple’s Webkit engine was first announced in April of 2010. WebKit2 is described as a new API layer for WebKit that offers both speed and security improvements Read more…
Intel has been having a hectic quarter after the recall of Cougar Point chipset (P67 and H67 Sandy Bridge chipset), but now they seem to be moving along swiftly. Apparently the new Z68 chipset for Sandy Bridge-based processors has begun production, with availability set for May. But that’s not the only thing the report says. Read more…
Not many actually fancy the iOS notification system of Apple, but this usually isn’t a problem since we have Cydia, and anything can be done. Here, Peter Hajas shows us how it is done with the MobileNotifier. This is probably the nearest that you can get with “iOS notification done right”. It’s obviously jailbreak-only and you can grab it from Cydia at this repo: http://phajas.xen.prgmr.com/repo
Well, here we go again. The new iPad will be announced tomorrow by Apple (hopefully, most probably), but here we’re still getting new rumors of the yet-to-become-official iPad 2. This time, they’re saying that it’s also coming in white flavor! Funny thing, that Apple didn’t even manage to push the white iPhone 4 into market in time, but hopefully this time around they really managed to figure out a way. Or is the cake a lie?
It seemed that even though the Lion is not even in the alpha-stage, there are already a number of huge improvements, or probably changes, to the operating system and its features. As we lurk more into Apple’s latest Mac OS X, the Lion, here’s another new feature found in it, called ‘Local Snapshots’.
After so many rumours and sneak peak, finally the mighty bull in Sant’Agata roams free over at Geneva. The successor of Murcielago is finally here to set a new benchmark in the supercar world thanks to its new V12 engine and 7-speed gearbox with insane obsession with carbon fiber monocoque construction. Like we’ve mentioned before, the name Aventador was taken from a bull in Spain that entered into battle in October 1993 at the Saragossa Arena, earning the ‘Trofeo de la Peña La Madroñera’ for its outstanding courage. This particular beastie belonged to the breeding stables of the sons of Don Celestino Cuadri Vides and, for unknown reasons surely banal, he bore the number 32 singed on his hide. And now, he gets the strongest Lamborghini ever built named after him. Read more…
Fancy a transparent iPhone 4 with all the organs and flesh available for your nekkid eye? Here’s a good example, a nine month old iPhone being ripped apart its sexy black skin in exchange with transparent glass panels. It’s offered by a Chinese parts manufacturer. Of course, Apple spent a long time developing stronger glass panel for the iPhone 4, and this Chinese manufacturer didn’t, so do expect something less than Gorilla glass strength. Picture quality might also degrade. Well, the back does look ‘unique’ in a way, but the front isn’t very appealing to me.
