G.Skill announced new Phoenix EVO series SSD using new 20nm NAND chips

The latest to join G.Skill’s SSD lineup is the new Phoenix Evo, and it’s coming in an odd 115GB capacity. This new 2.5-inch SSD uses the now-dated SandForce SF-1222 controller, but the NAND flash memory chips are using the more advance 20nm process. The SATA interface is still using the 3Gbps interface though, and read write speeds are said to be up to 280MB/s and 270MB/s respectively. Nothing comparable to the latest from Micron and Crucial, but surely will be easy to your wallets, though the exact price hasn’t been announced yet at the moment. The 115GB Phoenix Evo will be shipping in this coming weeks.
