Right, here’s a tablet that will make iFags go ‘gaga’. We’ve seen plenty of iPhone docking stations; in fact the choices are so bizarre you’ll need a year to know all of them. But when it comes to tables that mimic the styling cues of the popular smartphone, there’s not many ‘quality’ ones that you can choose from. Today, we introduce Kyle Buckner’s iTable, something that can be considered to be in the league of its own.
This rather involved docking solution combines the aesthetics of the iPhone 4 with a little bachelor-pad-of-the-future flair, allowing its user to summon a set of eight recessed speakers with a simple swipe of the hand. It’s also packing a set of four aluminium-trimmed cup holders, complete with LED lights to give your drinks a little mood lighting of their own.
The thing’s all hand-made, and while it was designed with the iPhone 4 in mind, it can be built to fit your smartphone of choice.

Opera has always been the browser to go for odd peoples back then when Chrome never exists and the browser war hasn’t started. Not wanting to stick with the conventional Internet Explorer, and the majority-loved Firefox, people are opting for Opera. However, as the war between IE and Firefox and Chrome heats up, Opera seem to have slightly slipped from the race.
Despite that, Opera has decided to play the catch up game and gearing up to tackle those big threes. The company is now embracing that spirit more than ever with its new ad campaign for the just-released Opera 11.10.
Not only that, the company has just launched a new ad campaign that it proudly boasts is its most expensive ever — a record-setting $8,517.26, including a immense $1,500 that they indulged on some “weird yet trendy Swedish clothes.”
Well, the ad is obviously talking about the browser, and that’s what we’ll do here. While it’s an incremental upgrade, it does boast a few fairly big new features, including support for Google’s new WebP image format, a “SpeedDial” for your favorite websites, and a turbo mode that promises to compress and load web pages faster when you’re on a slow connection.
Do watch the video below to understand more. I’m not good with words anyway.

MeeGo on tablet? It’s still possible. Not only has Netbook News managed to get its hands on a reference tablet based on Intel’s brand new Atom Z670 processor at IDF Beijing, but one running a new version of MeeGo with a spiffed-up UI. Yes, looks like MeeGo on tablet still has some hope.
As you can see above and in the video after the break, it looks to be a marked improvement over the tablet interface that was just shown off at Mobile World Congress in February, with it offering both a more refined appearance and what appears to be a more intuitive navigation system with improved response.
Will we see any new announcement from Nokia besides ‘Anna’?

It looks like the successor to the X58 is confirmed to arrive at the end of this year, if this roadmap of Intel is accurate. The leaked picture above shows the roadmap of Intel, and it shows that we can expect to see the Sandy Bridge E-series in Q4 of 2011.
By turns, the 22nm Ivy Bridge is slated for a somewhat less specific release in the first half of 2012. We’ll likewise see the new Pentium and Celeron-based Sandy Bridge models in Q3 this year, and the Atom-equipped Cedarview in Q4.
The roadmap also gives us a rather vague glimpse at pricing for the chipsets, and from what we gather we can expect the E-series to sport a very hefty price tag, and Cedarview will be the value sector.

Remember the things that we did when we’re still some innocent kids? Some might be playing Barbie dolls and kitchen and cooking, but some might be throwing their tiny toy cars around as if they’re supercars that can fly. It won’t be surprised if you’ve ever try to attached a runway to a very high position (probably the door, or the tables) and create a ramp for your toy car to jump to infinity and beyond.
Team Hot Wheels, a newly created group of stuntmen and extreme sports addicts, are setting out to recreate those childhood memories in the real world. To get there, the group is assembling a 100-foot-tall starting ramp in the shape of a door that leads to a giant jump. The resulting flight has a goal of reaching 302 feet, which would be a new world record distance. Your dreams when you’re still a kid right? We know, we did something similar too.
And why is Hot Wheel going to such an extreme measure to promote a kid’s toy? These don’t have to be just toys for kids – Hot Wheels is hoping to attract the attention of adults (males mostly, as you’d imagine) that grew up with these little cars and have fond memories of them. Collectors, take note.

The N8, E7, C7 and C6-01, the phones that ran what was formerly known as Symbian^3, will all be getting it “over the coming months,” while the newly announced X7 and E6 devices will ship with it preloaded.
And the changes? Real homescreen scrolling, an overhauled browser, and even a QWERTY onscreen keyboard in portrait orientation. Looks like they’ve done their homework. There’s also new iconography and heavily refreshed Ovi Maps, which now include predictive search. Nokia is resolute in its belief that Ovi Maps is the best mapping solution on the market, and Microsoft’s decision to integrate it into Bing would suggest that’s true.
The “Anna” Symbian update will be the first of a series and has been driven almost entirely by consumer feedback. Nokia also shared some Ovi Store stats with us. There are now five million downloads per day going on from the company’s app repository, which now includes more than 40,000 apps in total. 158 developers have passed a million downloads each.

The Garmin Forerunner GPS watch is a very much welcome product for hikers, but now they’re adding some awesome 2010 technology into their brand new Forerunner 610. The new watch gets some diet and is now slimmer, and gets touchscreen that you can tap to flip menus instead of feeling around for a host of bantam buttons.
For your $350, it’ll display distance, time elapsed, and pace all on one tiny screen, though you can add other metrics, such as heart rate. The 610 is also the first in the line with a run / walk alert, which keeps Auto Lap and other features active even when it detects you’re walking.
Also, you can upload your runs to the web in unbearable detail, but this watch jumps on the social bandwagon with “Virtual Racer,” a Nike Running-esque community where you can compare your stats with strangers’.
As usual, Garmin guarantees that it’ll work well through sweat, rain, and touchscreen-friendly gloves. It’s available now on Garmin’s site if you really want some touchscreen on the run.

Here is a concept USB drive that many might find it very welcome. If you used to have some Windows Mobile smartphone, then you’ll be familiar with microSD cards in the 1GB and 2GB size. This concept USB drive, dubbed The Collector, could potentially solve our conundrum by allowing us to toss all those thumb drives and find a use for our microSD chips that are scattered all over the place.
The Collector does not have any storage of its own, but instead you can slip in up to three microSD cards. It would also combine your smaller chunks of storage into a single block, so those three 2GB scraps would become a slightly less useless 6GB drive.
Efficient recycling method from Yanko. Someone must build this!
