Hot Wheels goes full-size advertisement
April 7th, 2011
Diecast cars are toys for young kids and childish adults, and as the matter of fact I do know of someone at the age of 28 and still collecting these silly toys. You may actually call Hot Wheels the king of diecast cars, and that’s because their marketing department always like to go the big way, like this really big flip-track. Here’s a highway at Bogota, Colombia which got turned into quite a 3D racetrack by Hot Wheels. Going quite low-tech this time, but it surely isn’t low profile at all, Hot Wheels has placed a giant ‘loop’ in the middle of an overpass. It’s certainly more eye-catching than a traditional billboard, and it still gets the message across that Hot Wheels are all about fun. A truly epic and dramatic clash of Joust
April 7th, 2011
Jousting in its basic form is a martial contest between two knights mounted on horses and using lances. It can also consist of a series of competitions using a variety of weapons, usually in sets of three per weapon (such as tilting with a lance, blows with the battle axe, strokes with the dagger, or strokes with a sword), often as part of a tournament. In a modern day, we may still have lance, but we don’t use swords that will literally kill people. Improvised with modern technology, this jousting match between two knights is set in a modern day, but what did they replace? Organize your own WWDC Apple Day with this new Apple Lego

Culture starts young, so there’s no harm in training your little ones into an Apple big fan since their toddler days. The ingenius Typescreen for your iPad
April 6th, 2011
Right, straight to the point first. This is an April Fool joke, but I just can’t pass it without saying that it’s such a genius idea. The Typescreen turns your iPad into a conventional typewriter, literally. “As an officially licensed Apple product, the Limited Edition Typescreen™ offers all the style and quality that you’d expect from Apple with the playful design and innovation expected from Spinning Hat. Compatible with both the iPad and iPad 2, the Typescreen™ will help add a “touch” of class and sophistication to any living room.” Fring testing group video chat on Android and iOS

Yes, Apple’s introduction of the FaceTime is very magical and somewhat epic too. I mean, they managed to woo the crowd into something that’s so 2005, and what’s more it doesn’t work over GSM, and you’ve gotta find a bloody WiFi connection, and what’s more you can only FaceTime one person at a time. But it’s cool, so no biggie there. Right, well here’s another thing that you can have, and that’s Fring. Fring’s been around for quite some time now, and they’ve recently been testing group video call on Android and iOS. Yes, group video call on your iPhone! The feature will allow up to four users to simultaneously connect, face-to-face in a Brady Bunch-like mosaic as seen above. The beta is currently accepting applicants, so if you think you’re worthy, and you hate FaceTime so much yet still own an iPhone, then head over to the source link to apply. Shame on you Steve Jobs! Samsung Galaxy Prevail Android for peasants like you and me
April 6th, 2011
Hello everyone. Think that you can’t afford the almighty and bloody expensive Samsung Galaxy S that has since sold over millions worldwide? Well, let’s just ignore it like it’s a bloody useless phone, and take a look at this ‘oh-so-wonderful’ 3.2-inch Froyo phone called the Galaxy Prevail. Yes, it’s still under the Galaxy family, but who cares right? Ignorant is bliss, and so does the awesome specs that it has. Waddayaget? A 2-Megapixel rear-facing camera, Bluetooth, GPS, and microSD card slot which is able to support for up to a 32GB card. This is also a CDMA phone, and is sold by Boost Mobile for a contract-free $179.99, specifically for the prepaid market. Right, just don’t expect it to be as awesome as the real Galaxy S, or the upcoming Galaxy S II. Let’s just forget that they even exist. Sony Ericsson Xperia Acro the next Gingerbread phone from the Xperia family?
April 6th, 2011
When Sony Ericsson announced the Arc, the Arc Neo, and the Play, we though “yeah that’s it”, but it isn’t. Apparently there’s still another undisclosed member of the Xperia. What the heck right? The company has yet to officially announce the phone, but it was spotted in the firm’s PC Companion software in Japan, and it’s called the Acro. There’s no image of the phone though at this moment, and sites all over the world are starting some very funny rumours of its specifications. XperiaBlog says the Acro sports a 4.2-inch display, an 8.1-megapixel camera, support for NFC, a DTV chip and a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. Well, looking at how things go, I can assume that the Acro will most certainly be running on Gingerbread (Android 2.3), but anything can happen really. There’s no launch date, and there’s no pricing, heck there’s not even an image. What’s next, a new model call Afro? SOURCE via BGR Event Countdown Clock hope to draw a smile to your dull morning face

Ever thought that your alarm clock beside your bed is boring? All it does is to show you time. Every day you wake up to the same dull clock and see the days pass by with just a glimpse of your eye. Sucks right? How about we add some spice to your clock? Anticipation is the best motivation, and this is how this Event Countdown Clock works. This stylish stainless steel clock functions as a regular alarm clock, plus it is an event countdown timer for any 3 events. Yep, sucks that you can only pre-set 3 events, so this still puts you into dilemma. Yes, it’s awesome to look at the clock when you wake up and realize that there’s still 300 days before your next annual vacation to Bali. Feels awesome, or sucks? Your call bro! The Event Countdown Clock is currently available at the Sharper Image for $29.99. But I still don’t think giving this as a gift is a good idea. I mean, it’s still a clock mate, who wants a damn clock as their birthday present? It’s still a damn clock! SOURCE via SharperImage |
