3 million Galaxy S II pre-ordered globally by mobile carrier

Yet again, reports have surfaced that Samsung’s brand new dual-core Gingerbread phone, the Galaxy S II, will be a superstar in the Android smartphone market. Samsung has announced that mobile carriers globally have pre-ordered Galaxy S II in excess of 3 million units, making it one of the highest pre-orders for Samsung.
As known earlier, Samsung plans to release the latest Android flagship in over 120 countries via 140 mobile operators. Galaxy S II is already on sale in South Korea and UK and is expected to reach many more countries this month.
The Galaxy S II runs on Android 2.3 aka Gingerbread OS and is powered by a 1.2GHz dual-core Exynos SOC made by Samsung (or an Nvidia Tegra 2 dual-core SOC for some market), 4.3-inch Super AMOLED-2 display, 8MP camera with 1080p video recording and playback, GPS, Wi-Fi with Wi-Fi Direct support, Bluetooth 3.0 etc.
