Diablo 3: Official Followers trailer
Diablo 3 has been development for ages, and we’re hearing a release either the end of this year, or early next year. Well, I won’t be surprised if the game’s actually done. They’re Blizzard after all. For a top notch game released in 2011/2012, the graphics sure looks unimpressive, but well it’s Blizzard, so… yeah whatever.
Anyway, Blizzard has a new trailer for Diablo 3 fans. It’s about the followers, which means your sidekick that you can recruit while raiding dungeons and killing minions and slapping Diablo. There are three classes, the Enchantress (magi-blaster), The Scoundrel (dashing arrow-shooter) and the Templar (wide man, big hammer).
The video shows that Followers cam be levelled up and equipped with different weapons, rings and amulets. As an added bonus, we get our first look at the male Demon Hunter at about a minute in.
I’m not sure if they’re considered mercenaries as Blizzard didn’t mention if you need gold to hire them, or they voluntarily join you to fight ‘till death do us apart’. Sadly though, there’s no Sato/Jay Chou to hire with awesome black car loaded with gattling guns.
The recent Activision Blizzard earnings call revealed that there will be a Diablo 3 beta later this year. There’s still no firm release date.
