Intel: Apple helped shape our roadmap

Ever since Apple made a jump to use Intel’s processors, things started to look good for Intel. But their friendship isn’t just client-based like how the rest of the manufacturers, as you look at how Apple was part of Intel’s development of their Light Peak, which is now known as Thunderbolt.
Now Intel has stepped things up and praises this relationship. Tom Kilroy, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Intel’s Sales and Marketing Group told a Reuter’s tech summit that Apple isn’t just important to the company’s plans, it actually “helps shape [Intel's] roadmap.” Now that’s some strong words coming from the world’s biggest processor maker, one that you wouldn’t expect to be obliged to any hardware or software partners.
What’s more, this came as the same week that Intel mentioned Microsoft’s Windows 8 had con points, and Microsoft stepped up to refute things, which make the traditional WinTel bond beginning to somehow get unstable.
