ViewSonic’s 7-inch ViewPad 7x comes with Honeycomb and HSPA+

ViewSonic has just launched their new ViewPad 7x Honeycomb tablet. Yes, that’s the world’s first 7-inch tablet running Honeycomb. It has 1024 x 600 resolution, loaded with Google’s Android 3.0.1 OS. No mention of Android 3.1 from ViewSonic though. The 7-inch screen has a 10-point multitouch and supports DLNA.
The specs are quite common for a Honeycomb tablet. There’s the usual dual-core Tegra 2 processor from Nvidia, paired with a pair of cameras, one on the front and one on the back, with the back lens getting LED flash. What’s unique here is that ViewSonic has also squeezed in HSPA+ into this tiny tablet that only weight at 380g.
The tablet has an interesting triangular pattern on its glossy rear panel. Ports include microUSB, HDMI-out, and interestingly ViewSonic has given the slate touch-sensitive buttons despite Honeycomb not requiring them.
There’s no mention of when it’ll be available thought.
