Bloomberg Spills On iPhone 5 Release and more rumours that we already know
June 23rd, 2011
No new iPhone announced in the 2011, not even the “one more thing” magic from Steve Jobs can bring the iPhone. So, they broke the annual routine, now what? The internet has been abuzz with the rumours of the next iterations of the wildly successful iPhone and iPad. With all sorts of speculation on the design and features of the new devices, Bloomberg have blown the lid open on a release date for the iPhone 5. According to two sources which are “familiar with Apple’s plans”, the iPhone 5 is set to launch this September and there is also talk of that iPhone Nano that has been on everyone’s minds since the mock-ups earlier this year. June 23rd, 2011
Ever looked back at the picture you’ve just taken with your camera and realize that your subject is out of focus and it’s too late to take another one? I have, always; it’s not easy to take good pictures with a lousy cheap camera and it’s even harder to take them when you’re stuck behind a group of people and are not rough enough to barge your way through. This is why the Lytro’s first light field camera is like a dream come true because instead of having to mess with dials or press the shutter countless times for it to focus properly, all focusing will be done after you take the pictures. June 23rd, 2011
At last! Just as promised, Apple’s long-awaited Final Cut Pro X is now available on the Mac App Store for just $299.99, meaning keen editors can immediately grab hold of this suite to crack on with some real-time 4K video editing. Of course, this is assuming that you have a 64-bit Mac rig with beastly specs in the first place — check with Apple to make sure that you’re all set to go. Accompanying this major software release are Motion 5 and Compressor 4 kits, both of which will cost you an extra $49.99 each, so make that roughly around $400 for the full monty. Apple has confirmed that there won’t be a boxed version, upgrade pricing, or “Express” version available. Individual users can purchase a single license to use on multiple machines that they own, while business users will need to purchase one license per machine. Volume education pricing is available for purchase by institutions only. SOURCE via Apple Apple unveils updated Time Capsule, bumps storage to 3TB but price remains
June 23rd, 2011
It’s been a good long while since Apple unveiled a new Time Capsule, almost two years since the 2TB model rolled out. At the time that was a volume of storage that you couldn’t possibly fill up — even if you ripped your entire Peter Gabriel collection in lossless. Now, nearly 24 months later, you’re out of room for the latest Greatest Hits compilations. Now Apple has your back, releasing an updated Time Capsule offering up to 3TB of storage for all your former Genesis frontman listening needs. The 2TB model slides into the $299 slot while the 3TB takes over the $499 position. SOURCE via Apple Google TV 2.0 ‘Fishtank’ developer kit revealed running Honeycomb and apps
June 23rd, 2011
As Google TV gears up for a Honeycomb-based v2.0, the team announced at the I/O event that developers could get access to “Fishtank” hardware for them to test their apps on and here it is, revealed by Geek.com. The hardware itself is a relatively nondescript box packing an Intel CE4100 processor (no ARM…yet) and a Logitech Revue wireless keyboard that connects wirelessly via a USB dongle, plus a few more ins and outs than retail boxes have including coax. June 23rd, 2011
First shown nearly a year ago, what appears to be a leaked official photo might finally mean the forever teased A77 is on the horizon. If you’ll recall, the high-end Alpha was sporting a svelte see-through body, and the only tidbits the Japanese firm would confirm were the 2011 ship date and that all forthcoming Alpha’s would have translucent mirrors — you know, the spiffy kind that enables DSLRs to focus while shooting video. Opportunely, the above pictured image also came with a bevy of specs, which we’ll have to assume apply to the pricier A77: a 24 megapixel sensor, 11 point AF, 10 frame per second burst and an ISO of 102,400. Also on the docket is USB 3.0, and a ship date of October. Whether or not the August announcement pans out remains to be seen, but you’ll certainly know when we do. SOURCE via Sony Alpha Rumor |
