Pentax is going to introduce its latest digital cameras at the CES 2009, one of them will be the Optio P70 12MP digital camera, with 4x optical zoom (equivalent 28-112 mm), ISO sensitivity up to 6400, 2.7 inch TFT LCD screen and has a 720P video mode at 15 fps. Highlighted feature will be its Face Recognition which can track up to 32 faces in 0.03 seconds. The camera measures 3.8-inch x 2.1-inch x 0.8-inch with the weight of 4.4oz and it is powered by a Li-io battery D-LI88 and supports SD, SDHC memory card. The Pentax Optio P70 will be available starting February 2009 for $199.95.

Exemode has released the “HELLO KITTY courreges” digital camera. It features 1/2-inch 5M CMOS sensor, 2,592×1,944 resolution, 30fps video recording, 1GB of SDHC memory card, 32MB built-in memory and a 2.4-inch TFT LCD screen. It measures 86×26.5×57mm and you choose from the two color above. The Exemode HELLO KITTY courreges digital camera is available at ¥12,800.

I don’t need this thing at home but can consider placing one in my shop. The Boardwalk Photo Booth priced at $11,000. This booth capture and print a four frame strip of pictures in 16 seconds. It is using the thermal printer and comes with two rolls of film that produces 3,200 pictures. When I saw $11,000, it just poof from my mind.

Leica will be releasing a limited edition of the D-Lux 4 Titanium digital camera somewhere in this month. It will come with a leather case. You can have this limited edition camera for $1400.

The Tomy Xiao TIP-521 is the first digital camera that comes with printer. With this camera, you can capture, view and immediately prints the digital images without ink. It is a 5.0-megapixel CMOS digital camera which is available in three colors- black, magenta and green-marine. It boasts a 2.48-inch LCD display, 39mm equivalent fixed focal length lens and a SDHC/SD slot. How it works without ink? Alright, this camera with 16MB prints out borderless images directly on special ZINK Paper (880 yen for set of 10) in less than 60 seconds. This ZINK paper is an advanced composite material with embedded yellow, magenta and cyan dye crystals. So this Zink-enable printer will use the heat to activate and colorize these crystals.
