A big part of a healthy diet is eating sensible portions and getting the correct nutrients that you need, but if you’re completely clueless when it comes to how much sugar, carbs, cholesterol or sodium and bla bla bla is packed in your favourite snack, this Perfect Portions scale is like a heaven’s gift for your Nutrition 101 journey.

It’s a combination of food scale & nutritional calculator that has a built-in bizarre database of 1,999 different foods, plus the capability to store an additional 99 custom entries of your own. All you need to do is just zero the scale, twang down your food and then thump in the corresponding food code so the scale knows what it’s measuring, because it doesn’t have an eye (duh!). The nutritional stats, as well as the total weight, are then displayed on an integrated LCD at the side designed to look like the Nutrition Facts labels found on food packaging these days. So the $59.99 price tag doesn’t seem that unreasonable, since it’ll greatly help in your big “slim down” project. Mummies don’t need them though.
