The HP Mini 1000 is an Internet-centric, ultra-mobile laptop that weighs only 2.25 pounds. You can get it in 8.9-inch or 10.2-inch Brightview display. It is powered by an Intel Atom N270 1.6GHz processor and comes with 8GB or 16GB SSD, or 60GB HDD for storage, webcam, Wi-Fi (3G coming later), and adorned with onyx-toned “swirl” imprint design. Just want to tell you guys that the new Dell Inspiron Mini 12 netbook has been released in Japan. This netbook is running on either Linux Ubuntu or Microsoft Windows XP OS and it comes with 1GB RAM, 60GB or 80GB hard drive, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, an integrated webcam, and a 12.1 inch WXGA display screen. It is priced $600 above depending on your configuration.

Raon Digital has launched their new SSD-based Everun Note netbooks. The model will be available in two versions which include low-end S16S and the high-end D24S. The $659 S16S features 1.2GHz Sempron CPU with 16GB SSD, and Linux Ubuntu OS while the $950 D24S features 1.2GHz Turion 64 X2 CPU, 24GB SSD [8GB fast SLC, 16GB standard MLC], and Microsoft Windows XP OS. The Raon Digital Everun D24S is currently available in the market while the S16S is coming this mid-November 2008.

Yeah, looks like the new MacBook rumors are true. Apple is running an invitation-only Town Hall event in Cupertino next Tuesday, October 14th at 10AM PDT. They will be showing off their new laptop their. We’ll see by then.

Here’s comes another competitor for MacBook Air, it is the Asus S101. It is a 0.7 thin notebook powered by Intel Atom processor and comes with 1GB of RAM, 10.2” LED screen at WSVGA with (1,024 x 600) resolution, 802,11n connectivity, Ethernet port, Bluetooth support, multi-touch trackpad, 4 in 1 card reader, SSD option and 20GB free online storage. It also has a non-replaceable, 5-hour polymer battery, similar to the MacBook Air.
Pricing, 16GB SSD, 16GB SD with Windows XP will be $699 so as the 32GB SSD while the 64GB will be priced at $799. Read more…

Someone claims that this is the new MacBook Pro, expected to be unveiled in the 14th October this month. Few changes mentioned: First, it has a two tone case which is first time for Apple. The lid is made of black glossy plastic with aluminum bottom. That reminds of evolution of iPhone. Second, the lid dispenses with hook clasps in favor of a magnetic latch mechanism, like current MacBooks. Third, there’s no multitouch sensitive “glass touchpad”. Toshiba has announced its new Dynabook NX Series notebook. It is powered by an Intel Core 2 Duo SU9300 CPU (1.20GHz) and comes with 12.1’’ LED back lighted LCD screen with WXGA resolution (1280×800), 2GB of RAM (up to 3GB), 128GB of SSD or 160GB of SATA HDD, as well as DVD Super Multi Drive, Wifi b/g/n, three USB ports, e-Sata port, and SD card slot. It weighs at 3.7 pounds, powered by Intel Core 2 Duo processor and featuring 4GB of RAM, a 160GB shock-mounted hard drive, an optional integrated Gobi 3G global mobile Internet (EV-DO and HSPA), integrated TPM Security Chip. Toughbook is for those who are little rough in their work, this one has the ability to withstand more than 220 pounds of pressure and it comes with a spill-resistant keyboard too. The Panasonic Toughbook F8 will be available this November at $2500.
