It is also a great phone for those who are into sports or outdoor activities as it comes with GPS, a compass, a pedometer, GPS tracker, and stopwatch. It’s back is equipped with solar panel so you can get it charging anyway in the day without looking for power outlet. No word on pricing.

With the successful LG Cookie that sold up to ten millions, LG decided to launch the LG Cookie Plus aka LG GS500. This Cookie Plus is also a full touch-screen phone but with better graphical interface and convenient social networking connectivity. It features a 240 x 400 pixels, 3.0 inches display, accelerometer sensor, microSD that support up to 16GB, HSDPA 7.2 Mbps, 3.2-MP camera and color options include black, silver and purple. That will be nice if they put on WiFi connectity but too bad they didn’t. LG Cookie Plus will be released in coming March 2010, priced at $230 excluding tax. Read more…

It comes with a 3.2-inch 16:9 touchscreen, a 5 megapixel camera with advanced face detection, 7.2 Mbps HSDPA connectivity, Wi-Fi, A-GPS, a built-in FM radio, microSD storage with music and video playback, and social-focused applications such as Social Network Connect, a Social Network Feed, and a Social Address Book. Verizon and Motorola have partnered up and released this Android-powered smartphone named Motorola Devour. It comes with a 3.1-inch touchscreen, a slide-out full QWERTY keyboard, aGPS, micro SD slot that support up to 32GB. The Motorola Devour will be available in March.

The phone is equipped with the MOTOBLUR, the first solution to sync contacts from work and personal e-mail services, including Gmail, with posts, messages, photos and more from popular sites such as Facebook, MySpace and Twitter. With MOTOBLUR, content is automatically delivered to the home screen and fed into easy-to-manage streams.

KDDI and iida were introducing there new handphone called the “Lotta” at the press conference in Omote-Sando in Tokyo. The phone is produced by Kyocera. It is a basic phone that comes with 2.8 inch LCD screen (260 000 colors), Organic EL screen on the top of body, 1.97-Megapixel camera, microSDHC card slot (up to 16GB) as well as GPS function, and eWallet function.
