Keypad Credit Card

The Keypad Credit Card, a credit card with a built-in number pad. Yes, this is made for higher security reason. User can enter his or her secret PIN into the card’s keypad to receive a numeric passcode for one-time use. To authorize banking transaction, the passcode is entered into an interface and instantly validated by an authentication server. This process removes the need to enter a PIN into an unsecured device such as a web browser and provides a user-friendly defense against electronic banking fraud.

The Fly Catching Machine

You will see no fly in his house. A retired technician from China has invented a fly-catching machine. It is based on principle of how frogs catch flies. The machine uses a vacuum to trap them and the bait is just a piece of raw fish. The machine is being tested in Wuhan Steel Mill where flies were not so concentrated and found that 400 to 800 flies were caught daily. Bridgestone A3 Sized Color Electronic Paper

Bridgestone Japan has developed an A3 sized color electronic paper and showcased at the FPD International 2007 exhibition in Tokohama. This A3 has a display area of 435 x 326mm, can display 4096 colors at 80dpi resolution and measures at 0.29-millimeters thick. It works via QR – LPD (Quick-Response Liquid Powder Display) which the company has been developed over the years. The Artificial Tornado in Mercedes Benz Museum

Take a look on the artificial tornado at the Mercedes Benz Museum in Germany. The tornado measures 34.43 meters tall, and contains approximately 28 tons of air which takes 144 jets about seven minutes to produce. The Carbon dioxide is being sprayed to the bottom of the tornado to make it viewable. Yes, this artificial tornado has received the Guinness Book of Records certification. Future Shopping Cart

Here’s the shopping cart of the future described by EDS Company which will help shopper to buy their food more mindfully. The cart will be equipped with a built-in screen and a barcode scanner and by scanning the food, the screen will display the nutrition information so as the environmental impact of that food.

Malaysia's 1st astronaut ready for space flight

Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor, Malaysian’s first astronaut and an American Peggy Whitson, who will become the first woman to command the International Space Station and a Russian cosmonaut Yuri Malenchenko was raised into launch position Monday in preparation for a mid-week liftoff. Shukor will spend 12 days at the international space station and return to Earth on October 21 with two Russian members of the current space station crew. In the 12 days trip, Shukor is to do a research on the effects of microgravity and space radiation on cells and microbes so as experiments with proteins for a potential HIV vaccine… Read more…

New 3D technology allows you to view scene in more angles

“Free-Viewpoint Video” uses 30 cameras to “capture a scene from almost every angle”. After that, they use special software to mix those images together and make them into a 3D computer model, just like those found in video games which can be rotate 360 degrees view.
