Although this concept just looks like any typical stylish, stainless steel, touch screen enabled LCD watch on the surface; it actually comes equipped with a safety precaution to make sure its user practices safe drinking shenanigans. With a simple press of the drink icon located on the screen of the watch, users are able to blow into the watch to get an accurate reading of their blood alcohol content level.
With an indication of the user’s level of sobriety (or lack of) it will be easier to make a safe and informed decision about driving home or hitching a ride with somebody else. For the alcohol loving folk who are too intoxicated to realize their impaired judgement and likely regrettable behavior, perhaps this handy watch will bring them to a sobering reality. Regardless of the situation, wearing one of these watches is a perfect way to stay safe without compromising style.

Here’s a cool watch for nerds that won’t look too nerdy. The Cadence Watch Company has announced the new 4-Bit Chronograph watch. 4-bit you say? Yes, 4-bit, as in binary.
Instead of Arabic or Latin numerals, the numbers on this dial are in 4-bit binary. Yes, the same 0 and 1 and 0 and lots of 0 and 1 stuff that we learned back then, that I already returned to my teacher. Move on please! It’s not actually very hard to decode the time, since the position are still the same as conventional watch.
The 4-Bit Chronograph watch also features a Universal Coordinated Time (UTC) display, a 42mm stainless steel case, luminescent watch hands, a genuine leather wristband, the Miyota quartz watch movement, a Sapphire coated quartz glass and water resistant to 5 ATM.
The Cadence 4-Bit Chronograph watch will be released in July 2011 for $195.

There’s always a place for renewable and clean power, be it concept of not. But do you mind if your watch can only tell you time when you blow your smelly mouth towards it? That’s going to be a very smelly watch.
“Hey dude, what time it is?”
“Hold, let me blow my watch!”
Right, that’s going to be very awkward. Designer Julien Moise envisioned a device that’s powered by blown air, displaying the time only when you want to see it. It’s a very good idea, and that your watch will never run out of power, as long as you don’t run out of breath. But if you really do, you still have your trusty iPhone to tell you your time.

It’s yet another concept watch that you most probably won’t see it get into production. It’s called the Leaves, designed by Andy Kurovets, and is inspired by women’s fashion. The timepiece consists of two leaves, and might have a hidden blue laser beam in it too. One leaf indicates hour while the other shows minutes.

We’ve seen many watches that are endorsed by brands and people. Watches are commonly found in motorsports as they’re sponsors of timers, which are critical for motorsports where a split millisecond can decide the first and second place.
Some watchmakers need a merchandizing deal with a carmaker to give their timepieces an automotive theme and to boost their brand. Others bank on their sponsorship of racing teams that splash their logo on their cars. Girard-Perregaux had Luigi Macaluso. But who, or what, is that?

Now here’s a watch for those that likes to get dirty. It’s the new G-Shock from Casio Japan, and it’s called the GW-9300 Mudman. Oh yeah. This muddy watch has all the usual bells and whistles like shock-resistant, a moon phase, a compass, a thermometer and the accurate Atomic clock that will make sure that you move on time. But that’s not all, as this Mudman is also dust-proof and mud-resistant and features a carbon fiber reinforced resin band. This is for those hyperactive adventurers that like to dance in the mud. Racing is all about time. Beating others to the checkered flag indirectly mean that you are racing with the ticking clock. It’s all about racing the clock. So it follows naturally that rally drivers need the right tool for the job, and this is it: the Edox X-Treme Pilot III.
Crafted by the official timekeeper of the World Rally Championship specifically for WRC drivers, the X-Treme Pilot III features such unique touches as oversize push-buttons that are easy to actuate even with gloves on and a tachometer scale around the dial. It’s housed in a lightweight titanium case with a wheel motif embossed on the case-back, and affixed to the paddock’s most talented wrists by a rubber strap with rally-spec tire tread pattern.
The Edox X-Treme Pilot III will go on sale in June with an €1,890 (~$2,750) MSRP in a limited edition of 1000 examples.

The Garmin Forerunner GPS watch is a very much welcome product for hikers, but now they’re adding some awesome 2010 technology into their brand new Forerunner 610. The new watch gets some diet and is now slimmer, and gets touchscreen that you can tap to flip menus instead of feeling around for a host of bantam buttons.
For your $350, it’ll display distance, time elapsed, and pace all on one tiny screen, though you can add other metrics, such as heart rate. The 610 is also the first in the line with a run / walk alert, which keeps Auto Lap and other features active even when it detects you’re walking.
Also, you can upload your runs to the web in unbearable detail, but this watch jumps on the social bandwagon with “Virtual Racer,” a Nike Running-esque community where you can compare your stats with strangers’.
As usual, Garmin guarantees that it’ll work well through sweat, rain, and touchscreen-friendly gloves. It’s available now on Garmin’s site if you really want some touchscreen on the run.

Ever thought that your alarm clock beside your bed is boring? All it does is to show you time. Every day you wake up to the same dull clock and see the days pass by with just a glimpse of your eye. Sucks right? How about we add some spice to your clock? Anticipation is the best motivation, and this is how this Event Countdown Clock works.
This stylish stainless steel clock functions as a regular alarm clock, plus it is an event countdown timer for any 3 events. Yep, sucks that you can only pre-set 3 events, so this still puts you into dilemma. Yes, it’s awesome to look at the clock when you wake up and realize that there’s still 300 days before your next annual vacation to Bali. Feels awesome, or sucks? Your call bro!
The Event Countdown Clock is currently available at the Sharper Image for $29.99. But I still don’t think giving this as a gift is a good idea. I mean, it’s still a clock mate, who wants a damn clock as their birthday present? It’s still a damn clock!

TAG Heuer is no stranger when it comes to luxurious watch, but they’re also famous for very high-tech watch that’s not only for show, but has the technology to back up the price tag that they’re asking for. Here’s a new watch from TAG Heuer if you’re looking for one. The TAG Heuer Mikrotimer Flying 1000 concept watch is known as the first mechanical chronograph to achieve 1/100 accuracy and a speed of 500Hz. Set to debut later this week at Basal, the timepiece features a highly modern design with an innovative case system made of black titanium carbide and silver titanium horns. As this model is currently a concept watch, there is no word on when it will go into production, and how much, but I’m sure it’s going to be quite sky high.
