Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 44 Chronograph Watch For London 2012 Olympics

In conjunction with the upcoming 2012 Summer Olympics in London, official timekeeper Omega has announced their very first (of many, I believe) limited production watch for the renounced event. This new collection is called the “Omega Seamaster Aqua Terra 44 London Chronograph” watch, and will be in the Seamaster Aqua Terra collection.

The watch will be housed in a 44mm wide steel case, and will contain an Omega Co-Axial automatic chronograph movement and has a textured metallic blue dial, but that’s not the only color available. Casio G-Shock DW6900NB Mirrored Collection

March 21st, 2011

Casio G-Shock DW6900NB Mirrored Collection

I remember the Casio G-Shock being the hippest watch back in high school, and till now it still hold a good memory every time I saw one. Casio has continued in updating their G-Shock family, and the new Casio G-Shock DW6900NB collection is the latest edition to the funky digital watch of the G-Shock family.

The new DW6900NB gives the classic G-Shock DW6900 a much needed revamp with rich metallic finishes and reflective mirrored dials. The Casio G-Shock DW6900NB Mirrored Collection consists of four metallic colorways such as jet black with silver mirrored dial (DW6900NB-1), metallic lime green with a green and purple LCD (DW6900NB-3), metallic eggplant (DW6900NB-4) and crisp white with a black reverse LCD (DW6900NB-7).

All of these timepieces get the usual features like shock resistant, water resistant for up to 200-meter and feature a flash alert, multi-function alarm, a countdown timer, 12/24 hour formats and 1/100th sec. stopwatch function. The Casio DW6900NB-1, DW6900NB-3, DW6900NB-4 and DW6900NB-7 are currently available for $99 each.

Zoomin Watch Concept gives you a pair of magnifying glasses

Zoomin Watch Concept gives you a pair of magnifying glasses

Here’s a watch that might give you some nostalgic feeling. It’s like the old days where people use single magnifying glass with a string, and a flipped out clock with chains. Designed by Gennady Martynov and Emre Cetinkoprulu, the Zoomin Watch is a unique analog watch with lots of tiny little numbers. But because they know the numbers are too small, and they don’t want to spoil your eyes any further, the hour and minute hands are replaced by mini magnifying glasses, which makes reading the time as easy as a digital watch, but with some sense of style instead of some LCD or E-Ink screen. Too bad, it is only a concept at this moment, as usual from Yanko Design.

Phosphor’s Reveal wristwatch uses Swarovski crystals to tell you time

Phosphor's Reveal wristwatch uses Swarovski crystals to tell you time

Now this is a very high-tech watch that I can still easily read. The Phosphor brand usually means products with E-Ink, but this time they’re taking things a ‘big’ step further with their latest Reveal lineup.

When it comes to watches, crystals and diamonds, and all sorts of stones can be found on them. I’ve seen watches that are fully covered with diamonds that you can literally sight the watch even before the person enters your view. With this new Reveal model, Phosphor has planted a new “proprietary Micro-Magnetic Mechanical Digital technology” to rotate Swarovski crystals into place to form digital time readouts on the thoroughly encrusted face.

Instead of the usual needle or E-Ink that tells you the time and every information that they can, you have shiny Swarovski crystals telling you the time. The models are available in six styles — four for women, two for men — starting today from $199 and up. This is what we call a real pimped watch.

Tokyoflash introduce new Kisai RPM watch with funky blue meter

Here comes yet another wacky watch from Tokyoflash, which always entice us with very cool concept watches, though some hardly can be used as it takes year to read the time. The latest is called the Kisai RPM, which is the first concept to become reality from the Tokyoflash Design Studio Blog and is based on an idea submitted by a Tokyoflash fan from the UK, James Fursedon.

Tokyoflash Kisai Wasted Watch attracts fingerprints

Yes, here comes another watch from Tokyoflash, and as tradition goes, you’ll still have a hard time guessing the time from this watch, though this particular one is easier than the previous few from Tokyoflash. It’s called Kisai Wasted, and is obviously a unique wristwatch, and it’s going to be available in black or white. The body is a streamlined plastic case and strap finished in gloss with matte detail. The timepiece was specially designed to fit most wrist sizes perfectly, boasting a smooth translucent lens which enables you to see the mysterious layout of time right under it. Read more…

Jaeger-LeCoultre unlocks the Aston Martin DB9 with new AMVOX2 Transponder

Last time, you’ll need to put your car keys into the door’s lock in order to open your car doors. Then, men got lazy, and invented remote alarm to unlock your car with a single button. They say it’s for safety. Well, should be. But then men got even lazier, and don’t want to press that GREEN button. So, they made keyless entry. Walk near your car, and it’s unlocked. Leave your car, and it’s locked. They say it’s good, because you don’t have to worry whether you’ve locked your car or not. Safety reasons too. But now, they’re getting even way crazier. But this time, it’s for the fashion sense. You know, doing it the James Bond way. But you can only do it if you own an Aston Martin DB9, and have some extra cash lying around too. Make that $25k extra to spare. Read more…

Garmin Approach S1 is the GPS watch for golfers

Golfers, cyclists, and hikers, Garmin has a new watch for you. Well, more specifically golfers. Their new Approach S1 watch is loaded with every hole from over 14,000 golf courses and, from anywhere on the course, will give you precise yardage to the front, back, and middle of the next green. Green holes with grass, not those with pubic hairs. Its integrated odometer will even track how many miles you covered through the course of the day. The Approach S1 is available now for $249. Might be a good bet for amateurs, to boost your ranking in the amateur league at your home town, you know, to get the big boys’ attention. Or, you might want to wait for a special edition endorsed by Tiger Woods, which has ‘extra unique holes’ recorded in its hidden list.

This is the watch for DSLR-fags

This is the watch for DSLR-fags

This is the F-stop watch. No, the ‘F’ does not represent the awesome multiuse foul language. It represents the ‘Aperture’ in DSLR camera lens. Really is a cool way to tell time.

The timepiece was put together by the creative minds at The Unemployed Philosophers Guild, who sell it at a price that unemployed philosophers and photographers who spend all their money on gear can afford.

Ugly Force Unleashed II Watches Are Collectively Attractive

Ugly Force Unleashed II Watches Are Collectively Attractive

At the first glimpse, these Force Unleashed II X G-Shock watches might be hideously ugly and look like something I’d wear ‘commonly’ ten years ago, or even twenty. What makes them so special? Here’s the catch. “Only 50 pairs are being made”. There’s that phrase alone will add 9,000 points to its beauty.

The two limited edition Force Unleashed II watches from G-Shock (a Casio brand) aren’t the sort of timepieces a person wears anyway. These are watches you keep in a box and sell on eBay five years from now when you’re low on rent money, or just can’t resist the DirectX 20 GPU from AMD ten years from now, or maybe five.
