Watch movie while you’re in the bathtub with the Twinbird’s waterproof portable DVD player known as the VD-J716W. It has a 7-inch 480 x 234 LCD display, a microSD card slot (up to 2GB), a remote control, built-in stereo speakers (400mW x 2ch) and a lithium-ion battery. It supports MP3, MPEG-4 and JPEG multimedia file formats and can playback DVD-Video, DVD-R/RW, Audio CD and CD-R/RW discs. The VD-J716W measures 275mm x 56mm x 150mm and weighing 1.1kg. Japanese will received the latest Blu-ray HDD combo from Sharp, the BD-HDS43. It is a mid-level Blu-ray player that comes with a single digital and analog TV tuner, 320GB HDD and the ability to record in dual layer Blu-Ray disc. Sharp BD-HDS43 is available around ¥85000, that’s around $942.

Vuzix has released the Wrap 310 Video Eyewear. Wear it like glasses and this gadget will offer you two high-resolution video displays that are project a 55-inch image size and enjoy the sound via its removable noise isolating earphones. It gets its power from 2 AA batteries (up to 6 hours) adn works with most video player including iPod and iPhone. Priced at $250.

Bluedot Japan has announced BDP-1475 a portable DVD player that comes with a 4.7-inch screen (480 x 272 pixel). It also support audio and MP3 CD. Its onboard battery will last for 2.5 hours of playback and AC adapter is included. The DVD player is available in three colors in Japan at 16,000 Yen ($ 180). 2.5 hours of playback is a little short for me :S

Sony has announced its BRX-A500, a 500 GB DVR. It comes with a built in digital tuner, HDMI output and can be installed on the rear of specific Bravia LCD TVs. The BRX-A500 has four recording modes and capable recording up to 141 hours of programming in DRL mode. It measures 255×148×52mm and weighs 1.5 kg. Currently in Japan with unknown pricing, not sure if they are going to ship out or not.

Sony has launched its new Blu-ray player called the ‘BDP-S360′ in Korea. With black color body and blue illumination logo, this blu-ray player features full HD 1080p video and HDMI 1.3. Available this August 31 at a suggested price of 398,000KRW.

Mitsubishi has released new DVR (Digital Video Recorder) DVR-BZ130 that features a Blu-ray recorder and a 130GB HDD and a remote control. This video recorder has the new Auto Cutting mode which will auto remove all the unnecessary commercials (it only works in Japan). The Mitsubishi DVR-BZ130 is available for purchase in Japan this coming August at 120,000 Yen (€900).

Sharp’s AQUOS DX TV is the world’s first 20” LCD TV that comes with Blu-ray and DVD embedded recorder. It comes with an average HD Ready resolution of 1366×768, digital TV tuner, 1500:1 contrast ratio and a 450cd/m2 brightness. Available in Japan by the end of June at 150,000 Yen (€1,141) in black or white.

LG has announced their latest Blu-ray 5.1 Home Theater combo in Korea, the HB954TBW. LG Korea has added on a Pod dock on their Blu-ray player, allows you to listen songs stored at your music player with high-quality surround music, working with all iPods. The LG HB954TBW Blu-ray player will be sold in Korea at around ₩1,299,000 (€780). More pictures after the break.
