The world’s first Blu-ray disc recorder: AMEX DIGITAL M505-BDR

This is the world’s first Blu-ray disc recorder and it will be made available in the European market at the end of this month. The AMEX DIGITAL M505-BDR, it supports Blu-ray software titles at the highest resolution via 1080p HDMI output and also able to convert current DVDs to 180p using the HDMI digital interface. No worries on your DVD and CD collection because this M505-BDR will also compatible with standard DVDs and CDs including DVD-RAM, DVD-RW, DVD-R, DVD+RW, and DVD+R formats. It also features a dual Hybrid digital TV turner with PIP (Picture in Picture) Function, WiFi connectivity, Ethernet and FireWire and also slide show functionality. NuTech CinePlayer PDP100 the smallest and slimmest DVD player

NuTech released its CinePlayer PDP100, it is a stylish wall-mounted DVD player. It weighs 1-pound (280g). It’s touted as the world’s “smallest and slimmest DVD player” at 1.8cm thick and 18mm high. Beside that, this slot-loading player also supports MPEG-4 and DivX files. Available now for $167.

Apacer AU822, digital media player, it is available in 256MB, 512MB and 1GB storage, came with a 1.5-inch LCD display, integrated FM tuner, voice recorder, and AMV video support. But it only has 5 hour battery life. No word yet on pricing and availability.

The Triangular Player

Lisa Kohanshi designer has comes out a design of a unique triangular MP3 and video player (it can be transform). To transform, turn your MP3 player upside down and pull the two halves apart while holding the release button. As the OLED screen uncoils, a hinge will unfold and lock, stabilizing the unit. Remove the MP3 control and it can be use as the remote movie player remote.

Titan's Liux-based Omni

A “hybrid” music entertainment company with several revenue models says it is shipping its first portable media player (PMP). Titan Global Entertainment’s “Omni” PMP runs Linux, has a 4.3-inch QVGA display, and offers standard media recording and playback features, according to the company.

Titan is a fast-growing company specializing in “artist management,” “record production,” and music distribution, among other pursuits. The company also runs a “Titan Tunes” website which the plan to expand it into “Titan Universe” site for video and other media downloads. The company said that the Omni device will integrate with its media portals.
