VIA Nano 300 series

VIA is introducing its new Nano 3000 series processors which are the competitor to the Intel Atom CPU.

“With the 64-bit superscalar ‘Isaiah’ architecture, the VIA Nano CPUs support several advanced features including 64-bit support, advanced CPU virtualization technology, SSE4 for enhanced multimedia processing, and the industry-leading encryption and security capabilities integrated in the VIA PadLock Security Engine.”

The VIA new Nano 3000 series will be out in the Q1 2010.

Windows and Mac OS Calculators turn into real stuff

Designer at Mintpass (mintpass.com) has turned the Windows XP and Mac OS calculators into a real stuff. Same color scheme, and even has menu headers.

The designer is aware of the fact that it would be unlikely for either Apple or Microsoft to let any third party get away with making these calculators, so is leaving it up to the two computer makers to make real-life versions of their OS calculators.
